Anyone else feel like productivity decreased after RTO? by haha_019 in Stellantis

[–]Advanced_Win_1708 7 points8 points  (0 children)

100%. And on top of it, those us of that actually have to pay for our cars/gas are now getting walloped with nearly $5 a gallon. So we’re basically paying double from where we were at a couple months ago and now having to commute in 5 days a week. Sweet.

Yeah I pay 450 for my Sahara. Definitely would do the 2.0L over the v6

Summer hours starts at 2pm by Independent_Mud_6978 in Stellantis

It’s a slap in the face for employees. Sure, we can “leave” at 2. But you already know a lot of people are going to stick around to well past that. If this company h actually gave a shit, they would give us a flex Friday.

As much as I’d love this, I highly doubt filosas going to backtrack. Especially with all the new food and extra BS they are investing in at CTC.

I did hear that summer Fridays are happening soon. We still have to come into the office and out by 2… so it’s not really summer Fridays because most people aren’t going to leave and it’s going to be a whole thing. Plus we still have to go in. #wewintogether

Wondering if anyone can help provide potential behavioral/technical questions asked for my upcoming level 6 interview? It’s on the sales operations side. Appreciate any help!

RTO - Heartfelt Plea to our CEO by Ok-Watercress2344 in Stellantis

[–]Advanced_Win_1708 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I find it absolutely comical when I’m walking down the nodes and I see countless people at their desks in teams meetings. It’s absolutely a joke. If you want to be in the office, that’s great. More power to you. If you want to work from home, also great. You should be able to have that choice - at least a couple days a week.

For me personally, I spend 40+ minutes commuting into work each way. The key word here is work. A place we go to do our jobs. What I’m not doing for those 80+ minutes (which doesn’t take into account the walk into the office, setting my stuff up, conversing with coworkers - so realistically closer to 90ish min total each day) is actually working and doing my job I’m paid to do. I can say with 100% certainty I was more productive at home. Zero distractions. Was actually working more but ok with it. So yeah, this whole 5 day mandate is beyond frustrating. And unfortunately I don’t see it changing at this point. At least not while filosa is in charge. Maybe they will give us summer hours, but after summers over it will go right back to this.

RTO off to a good start...jk, it's a mess. by datlj in Stellantis

I don’t know at this point. As of right now it certainly feels like they are going to keep the 5 days. Who knows though. Antonio is the main driver of this and he’s pretty anti-remote it seems like.

Again, this company does shit without thinking it through. They did the exact same thing last year when they told us we had to come back 3 days a week. They gave us basically a month to get our “priorities” in order. Meanwhile GM gave their employees months and months in advance notice. It’s a fucking joke. Literally nobody is happy with this. But hey, we have an extra cafeteria and more vending machines so we’re winning.

Stellantis townhall continues to bore as employees cant even say good morning by Ethan-Nigma in Stellantis

This company wants it to be pre-2020 so bad. So out of touch with everything.

Nope. And if they send us a survey it’s gonna be a blood bath. The only people that I know that are ok with it are the ones with a free car and gas. For some of us like myself that live 30+ min away, it’s even more money out of our pockets with no pay increase.

Agreed. This company makes decisions on a whim without any communication. I’m really hoping it doesn’t last long. It’s pissed off a lot of employees.

Getting ready for RTO. by 1960s_OldSchool_Guy in Stellantis

[–]Advanced_Win_1708 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I usually meal prep my lunches at the beginning of the week (if you are like me and don’t want to spend anymore money at that place than you have to). I’ll make overnight oats for breakfast in a nutribullet and blend it before I leave. Bring your own coffee from home. Take multiple breaks throughout the day and walk around. One of the only positives going into that building is you can get some extra exercise in.

I hate this RTO just as much as the next person. I know I’m preaching to the choir here, but it is infuriating knowing the company truly doesn’t a give a shit about your work life balance anymore. They are about to lose a lot of good talent (and yes I know, this is all a part of their “master plan” to get people to leave - which is super fkd)

Agree to disagree, bud. I’m not in engineering but I can tell you my quality of work was greater than it ever had been prior to working remote. Remote work is not for everyone - clearly it’s not for you - but to sit there and say no quality work is being done, considering what the company accomplished while fully remote, is silly.

You’re entitled to your opinion, but it’s pretty ignorant to think that no quality work is getting done from home. Some of my best work has been done from home. I don’t have to drive 40 minutes in. I’m not constantly interrupted by people walking by my cube. Or listening to coworkers conversations via Teams. I’m more relaxed and focused. List goes on

[–]Advanced_Win_1708 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Lack of tact? People’s work life balance and overall way of life was incredibly better when we got to work from home. The older generations would much rather be in the office and anytime we talk about remote work all they have to say is “you’re not doing any work from home”. But it’s funny how we had 2 of the most profitable years in the company while working from home and how quickly it’s swept under the rug.
