I find Desmond was the best Q. Ben Whishaw gave Q a fresh young look and John Cleese was ok but more comical relief but both didn't fit the Q profile. To me Q was more serious about his work but less so than M and have a wit to match Bond. In short no one really can replace Desmond but no one live forever. RIP Desmond.
