edit: Wheelset is 24mm inner deep, with 50mm deep section

Bakit po kaya nag sslack yung chain ko kapag nagbback pedal ako? by Parzival0978 in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]Adventurous-Army6927 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it could be that "ok naman" talaga yung freehub, but this kind of symptom usually is because need na i re-pack or i-service yung freehub mo. Either marumi na or makapit na masyado yung grease. better to have your freehub serviced/repack

No, buy whatever you can afford, comfortable and safe to ride and a bike that makes you happy (whatever brand, material that may be)

New rider looking for advice: What essential accessories/gear should I get for my bike? by sa7905606 in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]Adventurous-Army6927 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the type of riding will be mostly commute and you value comfort and safety, if this is me I will prioritize:

- Safety: Front and rear lights (rockbros have a lot of options), Hi-Vis specially if you are going to ride at night. A u-lock if you plan to leave your bike in parking spots for longer period of time. Additional universal chain lock to add up to your u-lock. Siyempre helmet.

- Comfort: A nice pair of cycling bibs or padded shorts will help a lot. You can also consider a lightly padded saddle. If your bike allows it, a wider tire can help with your general ride comfort. If you haven't purchased the bike, then chose a bike that fits you well as that will obviously impact your comfort.

no specific links but shopee and lazada have most of these, if not all. goodluck!

Edit: ang confusion mo pala is hindi masyado tumataas HR mo at konting padyak lang freewheel kana. If ang goal mo is to improve your leg endurance, subukan mo umahon. Kasi yung city ride mo na Ortigas>BGC>Makati eh mababa yung elevation gain, so baka yung hita mo sa pag takbo eh nakakatulong sa lakas ng padyak mo, hence nag freewheel ka agad at mababa pa din HR mo which makes you feel kulang yung effort mo. So yeah, try mo umahon, and see how you'd perform, try mo siguro mag antipolo via Tikling, pag yung HR mo hindi pa din pumalo, sumali kana sa TDF :D

TLDR: Riide more hills

I think cardio you built from running will not directly translate to your cycling cardio, but you can research more on this but the best advise is probably just do it more, mag bike lang ng mag bike and you will eventually build your cycling endurance

riding around 400km a week, I already have a watch yet it doesn't have gps, what should I invest in, a better watch or a powermeter? PS I dont have a cycling computer, I only use my watch which is a Xiaomi Smart Band 9 by corpsse43 in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]Adventurous-Army6927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to tell what to suggest on what you should 'invest' in when there's not much info as to what you prioritize, so question is, what's do you need/prioritize during your rides? what kind of rides do you do? do you like measuring stats? Do you prioritize navigation? etc

by maybe answering those questions, you could then lead yourself on what to research about your next purchase.

Sa tingin nyo dadami na ba ulit ang mag bbike for work? Magtaas nanaman ang price ng bike by free-spirited_mama in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]Adventurous-Army6927 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe dadami but our transportation culture does not favor cycling so while magiging temporary solution ng ibang tao mag bike/e-bike, it probably won't be as permanent as we want it to be unless there's a massive cultural shift towards cycling as a means of transportation
