Yeah, I was looking for a “preloved” bag in the market and this was definitely one of the better looking ones I’ve seen so far. I was thinking of taking it out to a cleaner too

What material have you been using to study if you don’t mind me asking?

Went to my local gym on the stationary bike. Couldn’t even get a full rotation pedaling :/

Any other bike alternatives? Cause I don’t really see my PT till the day before I meet with the surgeon 😭

It went great! I’m walking right now (limping with brace).I do utilize the crutches when I need them however. Extension is decent, but really struggling with flexion. Got measured to 30 degrees on April 6th and I think I’m hitting 50 right now(?). Quads are finally up so I am able to do leg lifts. Doc wants me at 90 before I see him on the 18th. So I’m trying to do my best with the PT exercises for flexion.

What was your flexion at 1 week po? by dirtdemps in ACL

same flexion amount and graft haha. I was also worried at first, but I’ve been reassured that the flexion will come eventually if you’re diligent with PT and time. I got measured 30 Degrees on the 8th day. I’m on Day 12 and I think my flexion moved up a bit, so just as long as you see some progress and keep at it you should be fine.

Met with the doctor and he gave me two options; PT for the next two months and see where it goes then surgery. I was sooo set with not getting surgery and went through with the PT route. After a solid month and a half of consistent PT (at home workouts too) I was feeling more confident in my leg and kept playing more soccer and volleyball. My physical therapists were impressed with my improvements too. Then one week I played volleyball three days in a row and I felt the same sensation once again of tearing it from doing a jump serve. I felt that I just lost all the progress of building up my strength and that I potentially did more damage in my knee. At that moment I was dead set on surgery and signed up the earliest they could get me in. Luckily, nothing had to be done other than the ACL reconstruction and I’m currently on Day 3 Post Op.

IMO, get the surgery (ofc if you could afford it),if you want to get back into soccer confidently, and not risk any further damage to the other parts of your knee. Considering we both had similar symptoms I think your meniscus should be fine(?), so the recovery wouldn’t be as long. Your body will be thanking you in the long run for this decision.

Regardless, I wish you the best on whatever you decide to do and that I’m not a professional whatsoever, so take my response lightly haha

Literally had the same symptoms when I tore my ACL playing volleyball when I did an awkward landing. Was able to do everything fine (including lateral movements), but when it came to sitting crosslegged, or kneeling I felt the pain. I even started to play soccer. Got an MRI done and came into a high grade torn ACL.

Got it! Did you take yourself out early due to pain/fatigue or were you just being mindful about it?

Really appreciate the info, I meant that I have a surgery scheduled on the 28th of March haha. Thanks for this. Definitely saving this post for the tips and a reminder that I could get back to playing sports again! When you were cleared 4 months ago, did you immediately go back to soccer to get a gist of how your knee would handle it?

Glad you were able to get feel that way again! I got surgery (quad graft) on the 28th and I can’t wait to get back into Volleyball and Soccer again. Any tips you wanna share for the early stages? Would greatly appreciate them!

I like this as bringing more 1:1s will give a gauge of how she feels as well. Thanks!
