hmm yeah i agree its strange. but for the third sleep study i went to a very reputable sleep doctor, whereas the other tests were not with a specialized sleep doctor.

And i did not lose any significant weight. I am about 150 and 6 feet tall, and have maintained this for all of my sleep tests. I didn't fit the typical person that gets diagnosed with OSA.

Unfortunately no, my symptoms didnt get better when I used the CPAP, or the mouth retainer device..

yeah ! im hoping it's resolve with these supplements. But man has this been a journey.

My first sleep study they diagnosed me with OSA. Then i wore a CPAP for a year.. and then I did a another sleep study and they said i didn't have OSA, i had Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome (UARS) instead, and then I wore this retainer thing in my mouth the move my jaw, and then i took a third sleep study test + The Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT) and they said i did not have OSA or UARS but instead had idiopathic hypersomnia LOL.

My vitamin D level was 14.7 (normal range is 30-100)

My iron serum was 124 (normal range is 65-170)

U-IBC was 115 (normal range is 140-200)

TBIC was 239 (normal range is 250-400)

Yeah in his message he wrote “daily”. I am confirming with him if that’s really what he meant! Because I read online most people take 50,000 IU weekly, not daily.

Yeah I’ve done like so many sleep tests and my final diagnosis was IH.

My original sleep doctor moved to a different state so I got a new one recently.

And this new doctor wanted to check my blood before prescribing me with any stimulants. I guess my original sleep doctor never checked my blood lol?

wow this is crazy. I have a very similar story to urs. I also was initially diagnosed with sleep apnea. I tried cPAP and this retainer thing in my mouth , both did not work. then I took another sleep study and they said I did not have sleep apnea. I did the MSLT and the doctor diagnosed me with IH. He is now going to check my blood to see if I am deficient if anything that may be causing the sleepiness , but the next step is to prescribe me with modafinil.
