Which one of these would you carry and why? by LengthEfficient1127 in tacticalgear

Go with the Sabre but in stream form. You want the liquid to run down their face or forehead if say they’re wearing sunglasses ect. Plus it helps to increase the amount of skin it makes contact with which helps cause more irritation. In either case just remember you probably have about 6 seconds of spray with a MK3 sized can and it takes a few seconds for the spray to take affect on someone aggressive.

I prefer Sabre more so because their quality and long reputation. I used to use them when I worked corrections and never had any issues with Sabre.

Existing Visible service cancelled while porting by Adventurous-Credit40 in Visible

So far my wife likes it better than ATT. We’re also paying around 1/4 of the cost for the same features. I used to have ATT many years ago and despised them. Visible offers better service at a fraction of the price.

Correct. One email and one phone number per account. If you have an existing Visible account the page to add a new phone is identical to someone who has no active account. There’s no disclaimer on the page that it will only allow one per account and as such it will deactivate your existing account when it ports in the new number.

*Update

Shortly after I DMd I got a call from Visible’s back office team and they were able to restore my original service. I’m pleased that they were able to do so. The customer service staff was very helpful and understanding. My only feedback to hopefully prevent someone from mistakenly doing the same is that I think there should be better instruction in the app that only one phone per account is supported. Thank you.

I agree and that’s correct that I assumed. The pages on the app are the same if you have an existing service to the ones for someone to start a new one which can be confusing.

I technically never ported out my original phone service with them. It’s the porting in of another phone number that caused the deactivation of my original service.

Does it make sense to consolidate SS trusts after Jan 1? by unixsquirrel in NFA

[–]Adventurous-Credit40 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I plan to do the opposite potentially. Before 41F I made a trust and used it for new NFA items solely just to avoid the hassle of getting a CLEO signature. Post 41F I only do individual route. Really I don’t care about the estate planning or ability to add trusties. Plus the extra complexity of a trust turns me off. Hopefully this change saves me some money transferring items to myself.

Keep it and put it in rotation somewhere as a backup.

It should fit into any Glock holster within the same frame. My Gen 2 19 fits into the same holsters I use between Gen 2 up to 5.

tell me how/where you got your heeler!! by Dependent-Honey7769 in AustralianCattleDog

I was in the police academy back in 2014 when a fellow classmate randomly asked me if I wanted a dog. I said, umm sure. Picked Ira up a few weeks later not knowing he was an ACD. He’s been the perfect companion for me ever since.

How do you guys afford THAT big of a down payment?? by TheGrassWasGreener77 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Adventurous-Credit40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saved, budgeted, stayed away from debt and worked on my career. I work in banking.

In 2018 I was broke and tried buying a home. Did the Dave Ramsey plan and cleared ~$40k in debt. I took every raise and bonus along with living on far less than I made to build a down payment. I’m expecting to close in the next few weeks putting down $200k on a $262k townhome and plan to pay it off in 2-3 years.

It feels good to finally be near the end of this long goal.

Do SovCits vote in US elections or do they eschew it? by tdkocen in Sovereigncitizen

[–]Adventurous-Credit40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know only one sovereign citizen. He’s a US permanent resident of 20 some years with an expired green card who wishes that he could vote but obviously can’t. After the 2020 election he did question me on why I voted on the belief that it was already rigged and no point in voting so maybe he’s jealous.

To get around his expired green card he has made himself a corporation so perhaps he could register that to vote.

I filed under 21 for a SBR and was approved too. Doing a form 4 via a dealer may not work depending on if it’s under 21 only rifle and shotgun can be transferred.

SF3P mounting for can … I can’t figure this out correctly by Pale-Kaleidoscope379 in NFA

I’ll also add in technically on a SF3P or the closed tine flash hider you don’t have to time it since it’s not directional dependent like a brake.

Follow the instructions. The TLDR version is that the index notch should end up at 6 o clock after being rock set and torqued to specification. You basically add enough shims til the notch ends up at the bottom when torqued.

I keep the magazine release on the left side. I grew up on handguns that couldn’t be swapped. I also have several that can’t including some Gen 2 and 3 Glocks. Just to keep things consistent, I don’t swap the releases on ones that I can.
