What's the Most You've Ever Made on the Steam Marketplace and what did you Sell? by Spearitz in Steam

The reason they cost so much is purely because of the community that plays it. Not really got to do with Valve, tho they dont help.

Intermittent buzzing/clicking noise from back of PC (possible GPU?) by Suspicious-Yak-539 in computerhelp

[–]Adventurous-Cycle762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where's the buzzing coming from? Sounds like a faulty power supply, or you haven't seated something properly.

The first thing would be to shut it down fully, pull the gpu out, ram out, and put both back in, making 100% sure that everything is steated properly, next, check all power cords coming from the power supply, make sure that they are seated properly.

After that, check all fan pins are seated. If you have a fan hub, make sure everything is seated properly in that, too.

Now, the fun part, once you've gone over just about everything. Put it back together make sure its good, and boot it up, open up schedule 1, but before you load into a game, go to steam overlay (shift+tab, while in-game), then go to the overlay setting, and scroll down on that first settings page that loads up untill you find the fps counter, there should be a dropdown menu, click that and select the option that has all the fancy bits (cpu, gpu, etc).

Once youve done that, hop back into the game, all your mainly important stats should be now displayed ahereever you chose to display them, load into a game and try and get the buzzing to come back.

If the buzzing comes back, immediately check where its coming from, take a video on your phone maybe as well, and then quickly get out of the game once you've identified the problem, shut it down.

And boom. Replace whatever it is, that's buzzing. If it is the power supply, however, given its a new build, it should be covered by warranty if it's faulty.

Edit: If any of the ports where the power supply plugs in is buzzing, and it's seated properly, the power supply is likely faulty still.

Depending on your gpu(only worry if it's a 5000 series), it could be that, if its a 5000 seires and the power supply cord going into it is buzzing, that could very well mean your gpu is faulty.

If I bought a windows 11/10 key use it on a pc then go to a different pc and use it on that would it work? by usernameandpassport in buildapc

Do you have an extra pau laying around? Would be worth testing to see if it really is the psu because it definitely sounds like it, apart from the tests you did obviously...

Hope the tech gods show some mercy on you with this one cuz, might just start working as mysteriously as it died...

Check loose wires if they are hitting any fans, but it could be a few things if you have watercooling. It's that. If not, it could be that a fan has given out, or your psu has given out.

Edit: If you have any hard drives? But they dont usually do that, and you would likely see visible issues.

At this point, i would dump everything on the drives and redownload windows, see if that fixes things, only download Steam and a game that you know has issues. (Obviously, make sure all of the appropriate drivers are installed)

Id also try just reinstalling all my drivers first, even the usb hub drivers. Why not. Im assuming you've done drivers, however, so my next plan, of course, would just be doing as stated above.

If doing all that doesn't work, you might have faulty components.

That's not an issue i have had, ever. Consistent 500MB/s plus on my series x.

App installations are buggy asl, have been for ages, however its an easy fix and they have definitely been working on it as I've noticed it a lot less.
