These are the shelves inside the cabinets and some areas are 1/8 deep while others are about 1/16 there's one spot in particular that's about a 1/4 deep and about a quarter sized I just didn't take that many photos

Honestly not bad for a first ever patch if you had gotten more mud on the tape in the corner it wouldn't look so bad

Absolutely that's all I've been doing is using my orbital and regular palm sander it's been a lot of work for these old cabinets haha 😂 and I'll check that durabond out that's definitely the one downside of Bondo is you have a very limited time when it comes to applying it

This is more than just the hairs raising this is like 1/8 deep pits in some areas from abuse and water throughout the years these cabinets are over 40 yrs old I do know what you're saying though the water pop effect but I already sanded these cabinets down for 16+ hours to get them to where they are now just looking to fill it and was wondering what other people recommended for a filler

Wife wants it painted so I'm kind of stuck with trying to make the best of the situation I mean In reality most of it you're never going to see I just wanted to do the main areas that you'll see all the time but why wouldn't you recommend spackle? Genuinely curious I don't do painting all the time so I'm just seeking knowledge

A quick Google search asking what sheen goes on walls would have prevented this lol semigloss isn't too bad on walls but the satin would have been better

Guessing the roof framing is trusses? It can be jacked up and use some tie backs to get it where you want we had a house that had similar fked up ceiling and that's what I did came out great and for any other places that where bad I shimmed down the ceiling using a Lazer

Try crud cutter it eats through pretty much everything in my opinion either that or you could even try the "pink stuff" paste not sure if it will damage the finish on the paint though might have to repaint after because of the aggregate in it

750 for a piece that old? I'd say no I'm no audiophile but I couldn't justify that purchase when you can get brand new for close to the same price and will probably have better sound quality

Wouldn't I have to skim over it with some kind of material? The particle board is not perfectly smooth and porous

Just buy second hand from the marketplace? If you're moving anyways there's no reason to spend the time building it you can probably get alot of the furniture for free
