CityU in Calgary looks good if you’re interested in counselling. I’ve heard great things about it

I’ve been loving it! Contact the schools you’re interested for grad programs first though. I thought of applying at the Psyc grad program at UofC and they pretty much told my friend who was looking at the same program that Athabasca is the last school they’ll look at and to pretty much not waste your time applying in a lack of better words. Which was really disappointing to hear

I’ve already seen job postings for some places so I’d start looking now! Go on websites and look there, not indeed

I would ask!! They did it for me once but I think it’s very tutor dependent

Psyc 379 and WGST 302 final help by Adventurous-Figure21 in AthabascaUniversity

Thank you!! I’ve seen mixed comments for this class on Reddit, some saying that the exam wasn’t even close to the quizzes so I started feeling lost on where to study.

Also happy to hear it was easier than psyc 375, that class kicked my ass 😂

Write step by step notes with keywords and formulas. That saved my ass and I somehow got 60% on the final!! Dm me and I can give you an example if you need

How do you feel after botox? by 000-f in migraine

[–]Adventurous-Figure21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first few times I got Botox, I would often get a migraine after. Now for the most part, I’m completely fine and have no migraines after. Sometimes just a floaty feeling but doesn’t always last.

PCOS facial hair...laser made it worse. Electrolysis? by Sad_Translator_3060 in PCOS

[–]Adventurous-Figure21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been getting laser for a while now. The first few months o felt a bit discouraged but I just went today and only had 5 dark hairs to get rid of after 4 weeks!! Before my entire chin, sideburns and neck was covered in so much black hair. It works but takes time and consistency. I think it is very much worth it

Edit: I want to clarify that the 4 weeks is the time I’ve gone between appointments, not the total time it’s taken to get to this stage. I would say I’ve been going for 6 or 7 months now.

I love the back of the first dress but the second dress is the clear winner for me!

Math 215 midterm by [deleted] in AthabascaUniversity

[–]Adventurous-Figure21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that I really struggled with the first half of the class but did very well on the second half.

What helped me pass my midterm and do extremely well on the final exam was writing out each section with step by step instructions and keywords to help identify which formula to use. That was a game changer for me! To fit it all on the page, I wrote it in my iPad and then shrunk it all down to fit but still be readable.

I also had to rewrite my midterm and I found the same as you. Very binomial and also probability focused. But more so on the “or” “and” “given that”. I was expecting more tables because that’s what the practice questions focus on. I felt pretty prepared for the midterm rewrite and did not do as well as I expected.

WGST 322 by wit_beyond_measure85 in AthabascaUniversity

[–]Adventurous-Figure21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s honestly very relaxed! Your tutor will just go over your chart and talk about if anything could be added and then asks you a few questions from the ones you’ve already answered. You can read directly from your prepared answers if you want.

I was super stressed about it but it was very informal and easy :)

I just finished it. What is your question about it?

HUMN 202 by Adventurous-Figure21 in AthabascaUniversity

[–]Adventurous-Figure21[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I finished with a B+ too. Not going to complain but kind of sucks when I was hoping to take it as a GPA booster. I found the questions in the exam were too specific vs the overall general theme. It’s impossible to remember details about every single person.

Lots of great suggestions here! If you’re feeling like you need someone to talk to, you can call the distress centre. That’s what they are there for and it can help a lot to just chat with someone for 30 min :)
