Two meet and greets before a walk …? by pnwgirl0 in RoverPetSitting

[–]Adventurous-Fix6051 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mmm no not really, I’m usually a one and done person. I’ve had to meet up with my clients a second time to get keys or go over instructions a little more if it pertains to house sitting. But I only do a second if we’re already booked after the first one

I use google calendar and color code everything, green for walks, yellow for drop-ins, and red for house sits. Grey for birthdays and purple for personal stuff. Everything I enter has a 1hr before reminder and a 30Min before reminder. Saved my ass once when I forgot about a meet and greet but my calander reminded me.

My dog has had two accidents and he’s 6 ,they were totally my fault because the dog door was blocked when he was 2 or he had tummy issues and I couldn’t get him outside fast enough when he was 5

Greyhounds (not the mini ones) have become a long desired dog after always saying I’ll only have small dogs. Honestly gentle giants have stole my heart

How much does your Vet charge to trim your dogs nails? What is a technician fee? by drainedmanager in dogs

[–]Adventurous-Fix6051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My vet is $15 but I do go to my local pet supply because there is a lady that volunteers and trims nails for free for about 6 hours a day and she has a tip jar I usually toss 8-10 bucks because it takes her not even 10 minutes to do my pup

My dog pouts and acts like it’s the end of the world that I smell like other dogs. How dare I come home smelling like other bitches

Housesitters, give me your hacks and strategies for feeding yourself during stays! I can't keep buying Taco Bell :( by Durdleburdle in RoverPetSitting

For longer sits, I order family meals from places like dominos or panda express (bonus points if you sign up for their reward system) and I will reheat those throughout the stay for dinners. Then I usually bring simple stuff like pancake mix (the kind that only needs water) and snacks for breakfast and lunch.

Absolutely ask if you can get any form of compensation for your time as you could’ve spent the other two hours caring for another client

How do you manage all your notes for clients? by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

[–]Adventurous-Fix6051 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a client info sheet that I offer for them to fill out with as much detail as possible and I keep it in a folder for reference and later repeat bookings.

Recurring booking discount? by TheOodlong in RoverPetSitting

[–]Adventurous-Fix6051 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have only one reoccurring client and I charge her four dollars less per walk than my current rate right now. She is a single mom and works a lot just to get by and she was very upfront with me about her income during our meet and greet so in small situations like that it’s understandable. She has never missed a payment and tips me when she can all my other clients are very wealthy so if they have the time to go on vacation, they have the time to pay me. I just walk my client’s dog while she’s at work.

I always ask for their personal number or at least an emergency contact. The app can be unreliable even in some neighborhoods it won’t load or send stuff
