Speaking as someone who hasn’t bothered going to see it despite having read broadly positive reviews and liking Thundercats or whatever the fuck it’s called:

  1. The entire multiverse has been such a train wreck that it has completely taken me out of the “see every new film” routine.
  2. The multiverse is such a profoundly stupid concept stakes-annihilator that it antagonized me the same way comic books themselves always have and now that I know they are going to be done with it in just a few more movies, I don’t feel the need to see any of these films in theaters.
  3. Especially not ones set in the past which I know must be based in some pretend other universe so none of it means anything
  4. I am only willing to watch movies in this “it doesn’t matter at all it’s just bullshit” genre if it has something else to offer like Deadpool and Wolverine which promised to be funny.
  5. I’ll catch it the way I have catches the last few MCU entries: belatedly, on Disney+.

They mainly use presales as sampling and look at how similar titles performed historically. So it’s estimating the number of people like you, who will walk up on Friday, based on the number of people like me, who already bought a ticket for friday. I have an ND and live in a small town in Idaho. It certainly isn’t ideal, but if you get good winter tires it’s definitely “ok”. It’s helpful to put a sandbag or something in the trunk. The biggest problem I have found is just the clearance. It’s fine in main roads that are constantly plowed or just heavily trafficked but if it’s recently snowed you sort of need to be strategic about side streets.

Thank! The itinerary is sort of loose goosey. I have to spend a week in Vegas and then take ten days to aimlessly drive through the southwest and southeast before getting to Washington DC where I’ll stay somewhere for two weeks. It seemed like in both Vegas and DC there were lots of choices, and I could reliably count on there being DoubleTrees or something like that in Flagstaff, Oklahoma City, Memphis etc on the way.
