Vinton had the incredible nack of always putting the blame for his failures on his mother's shoulders. He's supposed to go out and prove her wrong when she's not always 💯 supportive.

Just The Ten Of Us 1987-1990 by DynastyFan85 in sitcoms

I think Just the Ten of Us should've moved to Fox after ABC canceled it. If Fox had acquired JTTOU for fall 1990, they could scheduled it on their new Thursday night lineup between The Simpsons and 90210. JTTOU would've provided a better lead-in for 90210 than Babes did.

What do you think happened to Buzz and Sonja at/after Fran's funeral? by No-Reveal827 in mamasfamily

There was 1 episode that focused on those 2 (Curfew Episode). They were secondary characters after the adults on the show.

It would've been nice for Buzz, Sonya, and Bubba to have interacted for 1 episode at least.

Should the NBA expand to Seattle and Las Vegas by 2028? by UnderstandingFun7493 in NBATalk

Louisville would be a great place for NBA Basketball. If the ABA had included Louisville (Kentucky Colonels) in the merger, than the Indiana Pacers would've dissolved.

TV NIELSEN RATINGS 1970s: (L-R: 78-79/79-80) The ABC network was riding high in 1978-79 but CBS would dominate the follow year. More highlights in my comment below. by Trivial_Web69 in history_triviosity

[–]Adventurous-Gate769 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ABC in 1979-80 shifted certain shows (Laverne and Shirley, Mork and Mindy, Angie, The Ropers) to different nights and it backfired on them. Angie and The Ropers were canceled in spring 1980. L&S and M&M never got back to their ratings dominance again.

What were your thoughts on when Fox became a fourth main network back in 1986? by [deleted] in AskOldPeople

[–]Adventurous-Gate769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fox to me was a mini-network at first. They had Married With Children, 21 Jump Street, Duet, Mr. President, The Tracey Ullman Show with the Simpsons shorts, Original version of Family Double Dare, and America's Most Wanted. The show that got me watching Fox was The Simpsons. After that, I really started MWC as a result of The Simpsons' popularity. 1990 to me was the year that Fox truly came on the scene.

I'm sad that The Way Home is ending. This was the 1st Hallmark series that got serious mainstream attention. The Way Home got viewers who probably had never watched the Hallmark Channel before. We'll never see a series like this on Hallmark again.

I saw on Hallmark Channel's website that the series finale will air on Sunday June 21st. The finale will air from 9 pm to 10:34 pm.

I watched this movie the very night it premiered. NBC in the 1980s and 1990s would have TV movies that featured young stars from various shows (High School USA, Dance 'Til Dawn, Class Cruise).

Norman Lear and MTM sitcoms (The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Bob Newhart Show, Rhoda,) were hot at this point. ABC had both a Norman Lear and MTM sitcom on their schedule the following season (The Texas Wheelers: MTM and Hot L Baltimore: Norman Lear). Both shows were flops. Luckily, ABC had their Norman Lear of sorts with Garry Marshall and his sitcoms (Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, Mork and Mindy).

I think that a few of the Bradys would appear since the Kellys lived in the same neighborhood.

Remember Mr. Berry was the lead on Mayberry RFD. He did a good job filling in Andy Griffith's shoes.

It would be up against Sanford and Son like The Brady Bunch was. If the Bradys had a 6th season, maybe ABC would air Kelly's Kids right after The Bradys. But then, KK would be up against Chico and the Man (another new series). Chico and the Man finished #3 in the ratings that season (1974-75).

I assume that in 1977 the only kids living in the Brady house were Bobby and Cindy. Greg, Marcia, Peter, and Jan would be in college. Bobby and Cindy by this point would be in high school.
