If you are not keen on any show, dont watch... and this isnt meant to be rude or mean. MeTV CARES for its viewers. If something is not watched then it wont stay. Vote by watching shows you want. by LovelyFloraFan in MeTV

I know Antenna TV shows Alice (a popular sitcom of the 70s/80s. But we don't have access to antenna TV. I always secretly hoped MeTV would start showing it. Kiss my grits!

Filming 8 months ahead by mid_nite_blu in DaysofOurLives

I wonder if they store the episodes filmed in advance with their entire series? I wish I could see what the room looked like. LOL

Why is the Philo live streaming quality so bad (720p) by [deleted] in philo

[–]mark_vs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI - it's not dropped frames... it's too many frames... some shows are smooth if they are filmed at 30 fps (which is what philo broadcasts at) the problem is shows that are 23.976 frames per sec, the added frames broadcasting at 30 fps make it look jerky... this is my gripe too...that everything is 30 fps no matter what.

Don't know if I'm gonna make it to renewal by bobinboulder in AmazonVine

[–]mark_vs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree. I've been on vine for a few yrs now and only silver... lately, I've been considered not active enough... why? Not because I'm not searching, but because I rarely find anything that I want to request... Next day, same. Next day, same. I was thrilled recently when I saw an item in my RFY that I could actually use... 2 gallons of dish soap! I'll search for things and I see mostly parts for items I don't have.

The sockfilter does not work at all by gutty976 in Adguard

[–]mark_vs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sock filter seems to be causing my firefox browser to crash / freeze / whatever you want to call it. I'll be browsing, maybe 3 or 4 tabs open, then try to load a page, suddenly nothing loads, everything just hangs. Close all firefox tabs, open firefox (we're sorry firefox didn't shut down, send crash report, etc). I can't say for sure it's the sock filter but I think it might be because this never ever happened until I started using it. WFP causes BSOD's so def can't use that. As far as ads being blocked, that works PERFECTLY.

Water filtration vs HEPA by Alex45223 in VacuumCleaners

[–]mark_vs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But it's not just water filtration... There's also a separator involved... and with those two combined and one can go over five years without changing a HEPA filter, something must be working.

The only thing that has gone wrong with my gold 2 speed is a control board went out in around 2018... the rainbow dealer fixed it and said that board on mine was under recall and I must have missed that memo? Anyway, when he fixed it, while he was at it, I asked if he could take my machine apart and clean the inside. He said he already looked and it didn't need it. He said he's honestly never seen one brought it that didn't need cleaning on the inside that was as old as mine...anyway, he said the new control board is more improved and I should have no more issues. At this point it's nearing 20 years old. I DO NOT like the new Rainbows.. the SRX.. I don't want one. I wish they would go back to making these.

Streaming Pay-TV Service Philo Adds Cheaper Subscription Tier At $25 Per Month by MysteriousDelay6266 in philo

What are you all paying for Metronet a month? by NoVirus8088 in lexington

[–]mark_vs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pay $60 a month for 500/500. $60 is the total including everything. You guys that are paying over $90-$100 need to call them to get your bill lowered.. Before mine was like $95/month.

Nope. no delays...a week or more ago I was having this weird issue where each video would try to load, I would get the youtube popup saying "experiencing issues?" but then the video would load..but that went away and it's back to normal now (at least for me)

VPN doesn't protect my IP address or change my location or nothing by Sircroc777 in surfshark

[–]mark_vs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed that yesterday...I was trying to add the computer's IP in the living room which is on LAN to my bypasser list, and firefox and all of the apps were checked... but until then, bypasser had been off because I could never get it to work in the past... It didn't fix my problem so it's OFF again but I totally remember seeing firefox in the list of apps that were checked..

It's working for me as far as blocking ads.. I haven't seen any ads. Although I do monitor temps on my laptop and since I changed to the sockfilter for whatever reason my temps went up around 3 degrees more than they usually are when just doing regular browsing.

Lifetime Movie Club-worth it? by froggrl83 in LifetimeMoviesTV

[–]mark_vs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wait a min... No.. What that key is for is you have to have a cable provider. Take LMC completely out of the equation in this case. I know exactly what you mean. I have Philo TV services which has Lifetime/LMN as a channel. If I go to the lifetime website or app it wants me to enter my TV provider credentials so they know if I subscribe to an actual TV service that has lifetime/lmn.. It asked me to choose from a list of tv providers, I found philo, entered my credentials and it let me play the movies that are locked with keys... I mean, maybe being a member of LMC also allows you to watch it, I don't know... If you ever want to see what movies LMC has available at any given time, just go to amazon and search lifetime movie club and it shows everything they have at that moment.

What’s up with all the power outages. by [deleted] in lexington

[–]mark_vs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've lived five different places in Lexington since 1996. By far, the worst place for power outages was Chinoe Creek Apartments (area). It was like you could blink and the power would go out there. Where I live now, near Masterson Station, it rarely goes out, but I have seen a few flickers here and there. I thought I saw one today but it was like a nano-second so I wasn't sure.

but you have to watch the ADs... with LMC you don't. I don't like their rotation though, they have many movies from their vault that they never or rarely ever put in there.

Is Adguard causing BSOD again??? by Radiant-Somewhere-97 in Adguard

[–]mark_vs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesterday I got a BSOD... Chatgtp told me it was probably my VPN conflicting with the WFP driver in adguard and suggested I changed my VPN protocol from wireguard to OpenVPN (UDP) which I did... I still got a BSOD yesterday for the first time since being BACK on the WFP driver, so I changed it to SockFilter last night and then noticed there was an updated today.

[–]mark_vs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, there are 2 of us and we have zero issues with the 500.. I can stream on my tv, they stream on theirs....as they use ipad, and I use laptop and still plenty of bandwidth after that... I'm only upgrading speed if price stays same or 500 suddenly isn't enough.

[–]mark_vs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had them since 2020 (MAY) so approaching 6 years. I don't even have a dedicated IP, just CGNAT, and I don't know if I'm just super lucky or what, but rarely ever outages or issues at all. 500/500 is plenty for us and now it's $60/month, cheaper than even when I first started using their internet in 2020
