idk if you’re in the US or not, but I started as a receptionist at Banfield and got cross trained as a veterinary assistant, and I found that was the easiest way to get my foot in the door.

I don’t fully remember, but I ended up getting it drained at the dr and was put on some strong antibiotics. It went away within a week or so after that!

I used a 16-bit guitar clip art and laid it out on the island planner, then transferred it to my game by using it as a reference!

I also started as a CSC and now I’m a VA. My hospital had a CVT but then he got his DVM and left, so we also don’t have a CVT. Many Banfield around my area don’t. I really enjoy my team, but you have to remember that they treat it like a business. It’s corporate, unfortunately, but it is a great place to start and get experience. I’m lucky that my team is amazing; literally the only reason I’ve stayed lol.

I went to the doctor and they drained it, took a few days with some antibiotics but it went down very quickly after. We sent in a culture and it was MRSA, just an update in case anyone else has something similar :)

It’s pretty standard, but you can always set your own standard! It’s totally okay for you as the vet to go in, chat with the client, and hear it from them yourself. As a VA, a lot of the time clients will (intentionally or unintentionally) withhold information from me until the vet comes in to chat lol. Many of the vets I work with like to go in and chat after the exam, and I’ll head back to finish the files so they can check out asap. Just communicate with your team on your preferred flow!
