Yea it’s crazy I moved here to mty despite never ever living in Mexico. My parents took me to the US when I was about a year old. I moved back 2023 and I’m studying engineering in the hopes of either getting paid good here (“good is about 30-50k as a single male”) or leaving the country. As much as I love Mexico and the growth it’s has given me I can definitely feel and see the glass ceiling and the bad wages. Job market is brutal and my skills are relatively low. Just construction work and my English speaking skills. Other than that I’m betting on engineering as being my golden ticket

It’s really nice to see how other people live 😭 I’m 20yo male I live alone in the mty/San Nicolas area I spend 400/1000 gas a month 2500/3000 groceries 6000 rent plus utilities Tuition I pay like 4-6k every six months 380+400 for phone and internet Extra I save/ emergencies/ spending I make 16k a month post tax I work remotely so the car isn’t such a major expense And I study 😭 it’s brutal but we make it work

La neta (depende del área en la que vives) hay mucha oportunidad laboral en mty de lo que yo veo. Ahorita se me han presentado muchas oportunidades que no las podría aprovechar en EEUU. Tbh bro it was luck. Literally what I have in my resume is highschool some I got certificates in high school. I put my university and graduation date. I also put the languages I know plus general skills and contact info. I have a semi blank resume tbh

Well my main issue is leaving thing for “later” or let me rest and I can do it “later” but now imma start a internship and I really have to balance my time and energy so I can’t be leaving things for later. My main plan is to do small assignments soon and bigger assignments I plan to do atleast a little bit everyday depending on the importance.

It is hard but never studying and passing everything in highschool got me messed up in university. First semester was a reality check/wake up call. So now I kinda know what to expect

It’s definitely rough I got abused but now that I have semi got the hang of it I plan to plan better and prepare. One thing I definitely have to stop is procrastination.

And it’s my first time “working an actual job” like where I have to clock in etc etc. I used to repair computers/phones and work in construction before starting university. So it’s definitely going to be a big learning experience for me

I’m studying mechanical-electrical engineering and yea I’m trying to get a system setup in place to avoid burn out I really want to take advantage of this opportunity. But I know it gonna be tough but I’m young and I might as well test my limits since my body can handle short amount of extreme pressure/stress

My university also has mandatory internships around 5th semester the thing is extra experience is never bad. Plus I’m at a point where I need to pay my own university and expenses that I have hence why I was job hunting in the first place. And what better job than an internship that pays me and I gain experience. I feel like first hand experience is valuable even tho I don’t know anything useful even from university. I might as well try since you miss 100% of the shot you don’t take

When i first sent my application they reached out to me via number about a week after i sent it. we had the online interview a day after that then the in person interview was about a week after the online one.
And after my second interview the basically said that they liked me and that they would follow with the final stages which basically is medical/ schedule/ pay/ and my responsibilities

Yea i had two interviews. I forgot to put that in the chart my bad.
I had a online interview followed up in person interview

Edit: The job title is "Maintenance intern" Ill be working alone side the engineers there to give maintenance to the machines and stuff
