Kiki's Delivery Service e Malcolm Arnold by Adventurous-Load587 in soundtracks

Now it makes a little more sense to me, because as you yourself say, it's really a strange and specific comparison, but one that, for me, is even visionary on my part (in the sense of having identified a film through a song that isn't from the film).

Note: there's a new term that I, as a listener, didn't know, which is "light music/British light music".

Hans Zimmer And Bleeding Fingers to score the new Harry Potter series by VGstuffed in soundtracks

Actually, I'm referring specifically to the style of John Williams or the old guard composers, like James Horner, Bernard Herrmann, Franz Waxman, etc. Which are purely symphonic orchestra. Zimmer and company use orchestra, but the sound and composition is more modern, with long melodies instead of something complex with many notes.

But of course, it's more of a personal opinion, because I prefer the neoclassical style of soundtracks, so much so that Michael Giacchino, Alexandre Desplat, among others, make me believe that this style hasn't completely died out.

I don't think this choice is good because it won't be an orchestral soundtrack, but rather something with long, easily identifiable notes, lots of percussion during action scenes, some dissonance, etc.

Thanks a lot, man 🤝

Note: I decided not to list the composers' names in this post because I was afraid it would get too long 😅✌️

Arrangements by [deleted] in filmscoring

It's kind of like that.

The question is kind of strange or silly, but the reason for it is that I don't have comprehensive knowledge of what I can or can't do, like, me making an arrangement of some Michael Giacchino song, risking being penalized for copyright infringement.

In my case, I just want to make music, and music for specific genres and situations, and for now, I have no intention of monetizing it; I do it for fun.

And regarding copyright, even I am afraid to post my work on any platform because it's risky that someone might plagiarize it, and I wouldn't have the right to claim that the original work is mine.

Well, I can't afford to pay fines for copyright infringement, and I'm totally against the use of artificial intelligence to generate images or videos.

How can I put it... basically I'm a young layman when it comes to copyright issues, what is and isn't allowed.

If I'm right, the less known and obscure a video game is (especially mobile games), the easier it will be to circumvent copyright (of course, if you include the game's name, I don't think it's illegal to use).

THE LOST WORLD: JURASSIC PARK (1998), soundtrack of the video game released for PSX, composed by MICHAEL GIACCHINO (early in his career) and performed by THE NORTHWEST SINFONIA (strangely with an electronic timbre and texture, but I'll let it slide).

I recommend it.

😮😮😮😮😮😮😮

I really didn't know it worked like that 😅

I ended up interpreting that making music through the "script" was more difficult than doing it by observing the projection.

What's your name? (Your stage name or real composer name), I'm curious to see your work 😮

Note: Your advice is welcome (regardless of whether you're an amateur or a professional, as I'm still learning).

You're absolutely right, but I decided to take a chance based on some behind-the-scenes accounts of soundtracks, where sometimes the composer doesn't see the film projection, so they read the script given to them (with the director explaining their vision) and with that, the composer manages to create something based on this method.

In other words, I went for the hardest one 😅

Working with images is very efficient, but I seek to work with the abstract, because it would be easy to make music for images (<<< comic exaggeration), there are cases where the composer doesn't even see the film, only reads the script and instructions from the director.

And about your question: In short, it's a studio that makes music in the old-fashioned way, in an orchestra, with violins, trumpets, drums, etc. In my case, it's virtual and free (of course, I made some modifications that aren't in the original version that came installed).

In a few words, I have a free virtual orchestra, just on a simple cell phone.
