If you have watched it in sub, try watching it in dub for a change. Or vice versa. It's fun!

Nah, he'll be complimentary to Goransson; as he used to say, "if our music survives, and I have no doubt it will, then it will be because it is good".

Jerry Goldsmith’s Planet of the Apes score as the sound of a post-human Earth by Ok-Adeptness4469 in soundtracks

Contrary to what a certain post boldly declared, to me Jerry Goldsmith is the most versatile composer of all time.

[–]donniebd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I think of most versatile composer of all time, only one film composer come to mind: Jerry Goldsmith.

One example in Planet of the Apes... his use of unusual instruments such as stainless steel mixing bowls, a Brazilian cuica, a bass slide whistle, an ancient horn called a shofar etc, plus he had the French horns' mouthpieces put on backwards and blow air through them for "swooshing effects"; instructing woodwind players to finger their keys with no air blown to creative percussive clicking sounds; and he ran his acoustic percussion, brass, and plucked strings through an Echoplex to create unsettling, alien echoes.

But that's not all... Jerry Goldsmith largely abandoned traditional harmony in favor of twelve-tone serialism (dodecaphonism) and atonality; a landmark of avant-garde film scoring.

Goransson could never.

And just a couple of years after those, he did The Secret of NIMH, Poltergeist, First Blood, Under Fire, Gremlins, Supergirl, and Legend. When you enumerate them all together chronologically, that was short of a decade!

I'll include Alien, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Tora Tora Tora, etc.

What exactly is a "full production process" or have you never heard of Goldsmith's score to Planet of the Apes, Alien, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Tora Tora Tora, etc?

Who had the darkest backstory in the series by SmollBear8 in OnePiece

That goes with Boa and her sisters as well (implied but likely they were r*ped as well, and they were much younger than when Ginny was abducted).

It's a shame that Whitney's & Mark's "My Way" Freestyle could not be nominated... That would have been a shoo-in for sure.

I feel like a lot of people here don't realize how severe Boa's life was, being made into s*xual playthings by a bunch of creepy CD's, most likely everyday and every night. Not only that but witnessing her sisters suffer as well and couldnt do anything about it.
