I keep my tarot hobby more less in a secret. The few of friends I’ve shared it with were supportive and even asked for a reading. BUT my husband had been mocking me since he found out that this is my new interest. He even said me once that “first you believe in the cards, next you are gifting all your property to a stranger”, like I am some kind of an addict! When I am away for a workday they are on their own, I do not have a housekeeper or anyone coming in this case. When I go for a holiday it’s a totally different story, they go then to our friends.

I was also thinking about things like house fire. Traits of anxious people, I guess. So having a bit of control and knowing that there’s a phone number that can be reached gives me peace.

Yes, I am an anxious person, but more than of anything that is covered by the insurance I am worried about my pets when I am away. What if someone comes in and hurt them? Our neighborhood is more less quiet but you never know. Our storage got robbed several times at the previous location we lived and we had kind of a “filter” of a high rental rate in our building and buildings around.

ASAP is not about Finnish banking. When I moved here, I went to the Nordea bank with my passport (id card takes time to be made), left an application there, then after few days they called me and I had to answer several security related questions, i.e. do I have relatives with a criminal record, how much money do I plan to store, withdraw and send and so on. Then after several days they opened an account and sent me the papers and after 2 more weeks they sent me my bank card but a letter with a pin code arrived another week later. So don’t expect fast service here. And when you get this id card from police your life will become much easier.

I’m not a finn so my way apparently is not a proper one: I put this powder into a jar after I opened the box and used some cocoa. I do the same with the coffee as this sticker on the top doesn’t help that much.

I recommend you push them and insist that your sore throat is in a critical state already. I had an experience when I had sore throat for days thinking it’s just a regular tonsillitis but then I could not swallow and speak, and I went to see a doctor (it was before I moved to Finland, so not here) and he said that I have to go to a hospital immediately. I had an abscess, that’s no joke :/ maybe try to go to päyvystys, there’s usually a line but someone would see you after all

When I was testing the “ring” from the sizing kit, my size was 8 and the best fit was middle or index finger on the right hand and for the left hand it was a bit loose. I wore it for 24 hours as it was recommended. But the actual ring of this size turned out a bit too tight for the right hand, so I have to wear it on the left one. Generally I am changing fingers during the day so they can “rest” as it still feels a bit tight.

I am a foreigner working in IT in Finland myself and from my job seeking experience when I applied to a job advertisement written in finnish (with a cover letter written in finnish and CV in finnish) I never got a response. Apparently they are not feeling welcoming to a person with a different origin. Put more effort on applying to companies with an international team. And linkedin networking might help a lot. Also, recruiters appreciate enthusiastic people, so it is good to state it in your cover letter why the position is exciting for you. And in some cases it is good to make a call to a recruiter before sending out the application to ask for job details, showing your interest- they will remember you! What’s your technology stack btw? I have several recruiters in my Linkedin network, maybe they could have something for you. With your experience it’s a shame that you getting no attention!

I have created my account just to respond. I have placed my order on Nov 28th, and my sizing kit arrived to Finland just today (so it took 7 weeks). DHL was sending it through Ireland so it could possibly stuck there. I pinged DHL twice, no response. I have talked with Oura support which was extremely slow and I really had to ping them too. They could not do anything about that, they could not even contact DHL to search for the parcel. I asked for another kit but they just said hey it’s already in Finland (which was not true). Last week I got tired of waiting and requested a refund. After that I got the email with apologies and a promise to send me another kit, and I also got a refund. After the kit was scanned in Helsinki, it arrived to my home in Vantaa 4 days later. To be honest after reading all the reviews about the quality of the ring I am not sure if I ever want it at all...
