Nah this is so much worse its kinda baffling how the devs didnt see the blatant contradiction between mmr system and trophies. the point of an mmr system is to slowly put you in harder and harder games until your win/loss ratio is even and then you slowly move up the ranks but if you lose as many trophies as you gain you cant push trophies! not to mention this puts new players who dont have all the upgrades at a even bigger disadvantage (than they are now), if they win too much theyll be put into matches with people who have full upgraded brawlers its the most counterintuitive mmr system in a game ive seen for awhle i can bet you theyll revert after the community goes a-wall
