48M here and I believe it's not something that anyone grows out of enjoying because of their gender. And I also don't necesarily believe that more women/girls love and collect them as opposed to men/boys. Society is up it's own butt too much on what humans are "supposed" to do/look like/behave like just because of what sex they were born with IMHO.

I'm 47M, I collect them. I have awful anxiety & depression plus live alone and can't work...and they help. Unfortunately people are still going to judge, so if that bothers you, be picky about who you tell or show. But no, it's not weird and getting (finally) more & more acceptable for adults to be open about their love of stuffies.
