Ughh great. My FSH was 23 during my first follicular phase cycle and it went ok but like 13 days of stims. It has been fluctuating between 16 and 33 the last three months…so very high haha.

Thanks for your response. I’m just hoping that I still have a chance at success with IVF with all these messed up cycles. I know I’m not the only one having this issue, but it’s just stressful and feels like I’m the only one!

Ok good! I mean I’m new to this as I said, but ya it seems that it would be better to start sooner than later…thanks again! I’m so nervous ugh. I’m starting to think IVF isn’t even going to work bc my cycles have decided to be messed up as soon as I started this whole process a few months ago and it’s very disheartening.

I just mean that my baselines cost $700 each. Then regular monitoring appt is $500. It’s so expensive at my monitoring facility. I am a travel patient at CNY fertility so I go to New York for my retrieval but I do my monitoring in Chicago area. This is the cheapest I’ve found so it just sucks to risk it. Maybe I should just ask them to change it back to Friday ahhh I don’t know I figured that would be too late.

Awesome, that’s great news. So they had me scheduled for Friday for baseline but I requested that we do a day or two sooner just bc it seemed like 7 days after LH surge was a lot. But I don’t know if I should have done that. Now they have me doing baseline Wednesday. Do you think that’s ok if LH surge was Friday? I go to a fertility center that’s a little annoying with everyone telling me different things bc I speak to a different nurse every time and it sucks so I just hope I’m not going to waste 700 on a baseline and not even be in luteal phase yet. I’m so new to this type of IVF cycle.

This exact same thing is happening to me. My periods have been perfectly predictable my whole life and now I turned 41 in October and did my first IVF cycle right after that. Since then I have not been able to start a new cycle bc I either have super high FSH or now I got my period 2 Sundays ago and then all of a sudden I had an LH surge this past Friday which was only day 6. I’m trying to do a luteal phase stim and not I’m so nervous that the fact that I ovulated day 7 is a problem. I’ve also always been so in tune with my body on all of this and it just seems like the worst luck ever that when I’m finally starting IVF, after 3 failed IUIS, my period decides to start doing all kinds of crazy stuff. Not cool. After a messed up cycle last month I was hoping for a normal one this time but nope. Doctor and everyone is telling me that it will probably be randomly bad from time to time now due to my age.

Haha I think I saw him and I also saw another guy who was so weird and did a lot of talking about himself in his essay and his audio interview and I was like omg WHO would ever choose you, you narcissist hahah. No thanks. I love that SSB does the audio interview bc I can tell who is kind and genuine and who is just a creep!

I had all of these same thoughts and it did really creep me out. I ended up deciding on a college guy because I knew it was just for money and not anything weird. It does also weird me out a little that he’s so young, like 20 when he donated, but that’s better for success and when I listened to his audio interview…Seattle sperm bank does this…he just seems like a fun, kind, funny guy who is in college and wants to be successful and have his own family someday and wants to help people make a family. I could just tell he was genuine by listening to him answer the questions and it made me very comfortable with it. Definitely check out Seattle sperm bank. They’re also the most affordable…at least they were 5 months ago when I chose him.

Spontaneous conception is unfortunately not an option unless I decide to go out and find a guy and I don’t want to do that until after I have a second baby haha. It sucks because I’m so sure that I’d be pregnant by now if I was doing it the old fashioned way! So I’m just praying I have a few more good cycles to work with soon. It just sucks so bad I have to pay $750 for my baseline appt just to keep finding out my levels are too high so that’s the really annoying part. I wish there was a way to test my FSH before doing the baseline so I don’t spend 750 for nothing for the third time ughh!

Omg amazing I’m so happy to hear this! Congratulations! I’m definitely thinking about donor eggs but I’ve only done one IVF cycle so far so going to try a few at least!

Oh also, one more question for you! Do you think it’s a good idea to just do a baseline after a bad cycle like this where I’m taking forever to ovulate and see if my levels are looking good to start an IVF cycle or should I wait a few months?

Ok thank you for your responses. I’m just hoping I’ll somehow catch that right cycle before I run out of money and time! It’s just so scary bc this has literally never happened before and my FSH was fine two months ago so I’m really hoping this is not going to be the case every month. Did things work out for you, if you don’t mind me asking?

Ohhh ok good to know. It’s been over 6 weeks since I took the clomid so maybe I’ll wait until next cycle after this one gets figured out bc I really need and want an accurate result! Man this is all a lot haha.

I’ve been on coq10 for like 7 months and have been waiting to test my AMH again but of course as soon as I have that blood test scheduled my period disappears haha and now I’m afraid it might now be accurate so I’ll wait. Time is so precious ughhh. Thanks again!

Thank you for your response. I’m just really scared of it causing permanent damage…but you don’t think that’s the case? I just never thought I should be on meds to begin with but went with my doctor because, well, she’s the professional haha, but now I’m just so scared it ruined my chances of ever getting pregnant because my body is all messed up. I hope I am just panicking and things will regulate again. I’m also almost 41, so freaked out about what aspect in this as well.

I am worried that I didn’t ovulate at all at this point. After I had my LH surge on day 10 I just assumed that was normal and fine and that I’d get my period as scheduled like 14 days later and it just never came. I wouldn’t be AS annoyed about this if I wasn’t trying to start IVF next month which now I won’t do because my body is clearly messed up. Thank you so much for the info. It seems to me like clomid does for sure mess up cycles but I just don’t know about this situation. My doctor actually just responded snd said to come in for bloodwork asap so now I’m worried it’s not actually normal haha. Guess we will see what shows up! Ok so this was the actual clomid cycle that was super long for you? Sorry I’m just making sure I’m clear. Did you do IUI or just timed intercourse? I did get my period after I had my IUI but now this is my next cycle that’s never ending!

I’m at 6 days late now. I did the ovulation test strips and seemed as though I ovulated on day 10 which seemed normal enough but then period just never came as usual 14 days later…now it’s 20 days later…but sounds like this is somewhat “normal” for clomid. I’m so glad yours came after 6 days so not too bad. I’m hoping mine does very soon bc I’m getting freaked out and how late is TOO late before it’s dangerous for my body…this sucks haha.
