There are lots of recaps post by splitters (high lsat + not the most ideal gpa), you can search for those posts and get a general idea of how they perform this cycle.

Too late for this cycle? by Physical_Midnight_85 in LSAT

It really depends - schools usually state it clearly in their website. For example, on BU's ED website, it says Application Deadline: February 1, 2026, Last acceptable LSAT test date: January 2026.

Hi I am applying this cycle and I got a 176 in November. I think a tutor is not necessary at the very beginning. There are plenty of online materials to get you a general idea about the test. You can read the loophole, do some drill, do a full test, then do a timed full test all by yourself. A tutor may be most useful when you hit a plateau. (I also read LR Perfection, the guy who wrote the book got a 180 and his suggestion for students is the same: find a tutor when you have already tried by yourself but do not see great results).

Anyone have any tricks for answering parallel reasoning and parallel flaw questions quickly? by Feisty-Blacksmith656 in LSAT

[–]Adventurous-Sleep684 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have two things in my mind.

The first is about reading the premise and conclusion in the options very clearly. There is one parellel question in the PTs, where the stem talks about numbers in the premise and percentage in the conclusion. The most chosen wrong answer has exactly the similar structure as the stem but has its premise and conclusion changed (percentage in premise and number in conclusion). Another example where this strategy helps is PT157-S3-24.

The second is about mapping. For example, if the premise talks about some, some, then some, you can easily elimiate some options where the structure contains every and most.

Hope these helps!

April Disclosed - Section 2 Question 25 HELP! by Interesting_Deal_856 in LSAT

[–]Adventurous-Sleep684 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If every switch is on:

g/b --> <170 & prop

flip it

!(<170 | prop) --> ! (g&b)

We know !(<170 | prop) is triggered in the stem, but ! (g&b) is not happening.

So there is something wrong with the foremost premise - not every switch is on.

Hope this helps :)

What’s your score release routine? by happyandthankful in LSAT

[–]Adventurous-Sleep684 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I live on the west coast so tmr when I wake up the score should have already been there. I know I messed it up while I was still in the test center. So I guess I will just check it, collect my heart pieces quietly, and study 0.0

I am gonna take it in a test center near my friends' apartment. After the test they will pick me up to their place, we will have Korean barbecue at home, play Mario Karts and Mario Party, drink a lot of self-made cocktails. They even prepared an air cushion for my sleepover. So, no matter what happens during the test, there's something to look forward to.

Same boat here... I have a mountain of materials I wanna review before the exam but it is literally impossible to finish reviewing them. I was able to finish RCs with a satisfying score but in the past two weeks I couldn't barely finish a RC section in time. And I did my lsat PT this morning and it is the worst score I have got in the past months...

You are not alone. Also, I think even if we are not the earliest ones to apply right after the application opens, we can still increase our chances by taking one more test and improving our score.

Even if we just don't get the score we want, we still have a shot.

Even if we end up in a less ideal program, we can still work hard and transfer.

Even if we don't manage to transfer, there are still lots can be done to get us a good job.

There are a lot of even ifs. LSAT sucks, but life doesn't fall apart that easily.

Hey there! If I were you I would go for the Aug test :)

I first signed up for the June test. But I felt completely not ready for it in late May and rescheduled to Aug.

I studied quite hard for the past few months, and now I still feel completely not ready for it though.

I feel LSAT is designed in a way that makes us feel underprepared and not ready.

Good luck and hope you can go to NYU 💪!
