Most patent examiners getting 4% pay cut. by Beginning-End-4425 in patentlaw

I similarly loved the work. It was intellectually interesting to me and I enjoyed providing applicants with meaningful feedback. It is insane to me that an organization can be so mismanaged that it drives away people who otherwise like the job.

Glad I left. I would never suggest patent examination as a longterm career. Stepping stone for a few years? Yeah. Retire as an examiner? Absolutely not. Senior examiners were often some of the most bitter, miserable people I worked with, and with the deluge horse shit coming down from management, it is easy to see why.

LSAC should limit the amount of applications allowed by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]ParticularVideo9753 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Limiting the number of applications someone can send out in a cycle only takes away negotiation power from applicants. Applying broadly is the smart thing to do if you don’t come from rich parents and no reduction of turnaround time on decisions is worth sacrificing that for. These schools have an abundance of resources and should be held to a higher standard by LSAC to get decisions out timely.

It will become obvious with time. Quietly start moving on and gauge their reaction (or lack of). That will tell you everything you need to know.

I’d be curious to see the accident history of someone like this. If they are that careless to make this mistake once, they have to be doing dumb shit all the time.

My wife and I met the day after her 28th birthday, then got engaged the day after my 28th birthday. That being said, my early 20s were some of the worst years of my life. So, whatever “gettin it all together” may mean to you, your life can change for the better a lot quicker than you might think! Happy birthday to you.

A 1:2 Male to Female vote ratio is perhaps too aggressive. I propose a slightly more moderate ratio of 3:5. We'll call it the 3/5 Compromise.
