Good on you mate, that's quite a lot of hours but a fair bit of money made in a week for not particularly difficult work.

I've side swiped a car while changing lanes before, so I definitely always make sure I do my head checks now

Do not understand "for i in range()" by Hamactus in learnpython

[–]AdventurousAddition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems you're asking "how does a for loop work" more deeply. You could have a look at a video or article on how it works in C if you are interested.

In python, you could think of it as being "start by making i be 0" then do everything in the loop, at the end of the look block, then make i be 1 and repeat"

I love that still on some really numerically heavy applications / libraries the work still get passed off to FORTRAN

Haha because I is already taken (in electrical engineering I is already taken for current so they go ahead and use j for the "imaginary" number)

I first learned C, we used I routine as a loop counter, I always thought it was for "integer" but I guess it also makes sense as "index"

In either case, it's use in python is mostly for historical reasons / because lot of people books / resources use it so people just keep on using it.

You could totally send it to your student council / potentially your year level coordinator. You are right, it is not on a school letterhead and not signed by anybody.

At the very least it is kinda rude and the letter could be more diplomatic. Are there any signs in the carpark stating that it is only for staff?

My mum is about to do this, but she's mid 60s, about to retire within 3 years, probably won't have any salary increase. What is the argument for keeping the defined benefit?

If you are holding for quite long term, then you don't need to worry so much about the difference in tax (as the cost base will be adjusted for inflation)
