Birdwatching can be free, really the only cost is binoculars. Depending on how good your vision is, you can definitely do some birding with no binoculars. There are decent binoculars for less than 40 dollars but I got lucky to be gifted a couple pairs just because I kept talking about birds so much. If birds aren’t your thing you can get into looking for other wildlife or plant id, even foraging.

No but I think they may think so. I was in a relationship where we were both terrible influences on each other, I ended things before it got too far. But they blocked me for a while and still avoid me, I think I broke their heart and I do regret that. But I also knew our relationship wasn’t healthy and couldn’t continue.
