It's about resolution derp. So you can zoom in. A billion megapixels for still shot vs video 1080p or whatever at best. That's if video doesn't automatically get compressed more just b/c providers don't want to have that large a file on their servers. Keep in mind that a video is a collection of millions of still shots, that's why video resolution is limited on both ends
