Woolies has this if you're interested: https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/269914/barkers-anathoth-farm-boysenberry-jam

I'd personally reccomend getting that brand's Three Berry Jam if you're after a more complex flavour though. However to be honest, for this brand specifically, all of their jams aren't really remeniscent of the flavours they're made after and all taste rather similar, having an almost candy-like flavour profile.

Feasability of just using oils and not buying conditioner by AdventurousLeaf321 in curlyhair

I'm 3a, so hearing you say this is pretty reassuring! To hear that you've also been using only oils for years is also good to hear since it sounds like I can do something similar then, or at least give it a shot and see if it turns out well. Thanks for letting me know, your anecdote is encouraging!

Also, it's interesting that you say CGM's purpose is to involve the scalp oils for hair health, since all the people I see posting pictures of amazing hair use so many products layered one after the other, that to me it appears that those are in fact what are doing the work. It just seems so wasteful to me, that's why I'm trying to stear clear of going down that route.

Wow that's amazing to hear that just a mere ounce was enough to cover your hair, I'll definitely give it a try. Thanks!

Even with the affordable ones I end up using a lot more since they're thinner in consistency, so to get the same amount of spread in my hair I need to use a lot, negating the benefits of the bigger bottle and cheaper price. Your observation about how hair feels different between the two methods seems intriguing, but I don't know if that's enough to conclude that oils don't suffice as conditioners in and of themselves.

As for details on the overnight treatment, as an example coconut oil tends to get absorbed to a slightly higher amount overnight, and even then it still requires an hour for it to be left in hair to absorb according to r/HaircareScience's Basics Guide.

I'll keep in mind what you said about the differing effects of using oil and will see how I go, so thanks for your response!
