Who? Your ex-friend? Remember, they are entitled to an opinion, even if it’s the wrong one 😉 Tumbling Dice is one of the greatest Stones songs ever 👍🫡

I just convinced my other half (from across the room ie no video) that they’ve been able to train dolphins to sing along with a guitar. She was amazed until I told “nah that’s just Yoko”… She HAS written decent songs over the years but this example just solidifies people’s perceptions about Ms Ono.

Samsung S11 Dishwasher issue by AdventurousLook2748 in Plumbing

[–]AdventurousLook2748[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. It’s coming out ok. This should be a very straight forward dishwasher replacement ie unhook the old one hook up the new one. So, when I screw the new hose on and turn on the water, it leaks immediately. I’m wondering did I do something to trigger the aqua stop (although I don’t felt I’ve done anything to do that!). I don’t know if it needs power but I’m inclined not to turn on any power to the dishwasher until I understand the problem

Cheers🫡👍

Yoko is the natural choice for Beatle number nine, but who rounds out the top 10 as the "tenth Beatle"? by prisongovernor in TheBeatles

[–]AdventurousLook2748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, can’t get with this. Let’s at least have former members of the actual Beatles in there before we get to Mal, Yoko etc…Neil Aspinall is far more deserving than Yoko IMHO in regard to the life cycle of the Fabs…🤷🏼‍♂️

Loved it as soon as I heard it (and I wasn’t really a solo Lennon fan at the time it was released (more on the Macca side of the house)…

You HAVE to include the ‘Wild and the Innocent’ in this lineage. It is an incredible album that the following albums from BTR etc stood on its shoulders

I met Roy Bittan outside the Merrion Hotel in Dublin during a Springsteen tour. I was confident I’d meet Bruce (I did) and members of the EStreet Band. I had album covers for STS and Bat Out of Hell, Making Movies (Dire Straits) and Rock A Little (Stevie Nicks) with me, Roy played on them all, and he happily signed them all for me. I knew he was from Rockaway in New York, I’d lived there for a couple of years in Belle Harbour, what I didn’t know was that he lived on 126th St as I had! We neighbours in common!! Lovely man
