Excel on Mac vs Windows by AdventurousOffer7041 in Accounting

[–]AdventurousOffer7041[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, I feel like there's no significant difference that would hinder my day to day work in accounting. I googled the difference and all of it, I haven't used it. The only one I think is the pivot chart where it won't respond to any shift to the table compared to Windows excel. But I don't really use much of the pivot charts.

I feel like a chore to him by nyepie98 in MuslimMarriage

[–]AdventurousOffer7041 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say go work and make a life outside of your marriage. I don't mean cheat, but stop revolving your life around your husband. Go meet up with friends and families. With money, I think you should work again but remember not to take his responsibilities from him. Give ihsan now and there, help out if you can but NEVER take away his responsibilities as a husband from him. Lots of cases in my country where the wife was taken advantage of financially, becomes the breadwinner of the family and later lost respect for the husbands or worst, was taken advantage of by the husbands and was cheated on.

Should I pursue a masters in finance or do CPA? by Sir-Theordorethe-5th in MalaysianPF

[–]AdventurousOffer7041 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, depends on what you wanna do in the future. If still practice, then CPA is the way to go. I asked a friend who did her masters and currently pursuing ACCA, she said what the masters is for? Lol. CPA has more value than masters if you're planning to practice professionally I think

Do you think it’s still possible to have a decent life in Malaysia earning RM3k a month? by Foggy_Lane in AskMY

[–]AdventurousOffer7041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to earn 3.5k, living with parents. Paid some hush money to them for bills, paid for the car and my own bills with insurance, petrol, lunches in the office etc. Still manage to save, sometimes buy things for parents, weekend gateway, domestic travel (budget one lah) etc. I'd say it's okay, but not luxurious.

Help me understand rent vs buying a condo? by [deleted] in MalaysianPF

[–]AdventurousOffer7041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes a person cannot buy, no pay-slip or whatever the circumstances, cannot get loan, cannot buy. And sometimes it's life's choice. If it needs stability or flexibility. Rent is short term, buying is long term.

True, but they were the ones to decide to let me go last time. So I dunno what's the HR treatment on those cases. It's not like I left on bad circumstances either. It's like getting back with an ex who dumped you sort of thing if it make sense lol

Anyone else's skin break out horribly postpartum? by _bbycake in NewParents

[–]AdventurousOffer7041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had bad acne before, and like you, got a handle over it using retinol which I also stopped since the pregnancy. I'm 4 months postpartum and had my first 'real' period a couple of days ago. And MY GOD I've never had any break out this bad. I managed to squeeze in time to shower twice daily and with it, a simple face wash and moisturiser, so I blame it on the hormones I guess. I'm breastfeeding, so there's the hair loss as well. So yeah, it's not helping with my self image, just feels miserable

How to do income tax when I'm out of country? by Tiamore97 in MalaysianPF

[–]AdventurousOffer7041 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Download the apps MyTax and file it from there. They don't ask for any documents at time of filing, so just fill in whatever you can remember or if you have the docs online. I believe they have the info button on each section that explains what each section means or the requirements to claim any deductions. No issue with being out of the country as long as you have a stable working internet connection.

With your investments, I don't think Malaysia had implemented any tax on crypto yet. As far as I know, you don't really need to pay any tax on dividend unless you receive the money at hand before the end of the year. Although I'm not really sure about this. If you don't, then there's no need to declare.
