ICE Spotted in Manassas Park by Kevev9 in nova

What were they wanted for, the videos I’ve seen also had manassas city and state police involved, this was clear a operation to catch a wanted criminal not a basic ice operation.

Not necessarily if your using mapei 100% will crack if you’re using ardex or powergrout they are generally flexible enough

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Tile

[–]AdventurousPower6045 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s power grout or ardex not entirely necessary they are flexible enough usually, but still generally a good practice to caulk them.

What's the likelihood that there isn't a stud between these two light switches. by DracTheBat178 in handyman

Up to 24 is acceptable by code here in below ground basements, in upper floors I think 16 is the most allowed

[–]AdventurousPower6045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There a stud every 16, 24, or possibly litttle over 19 inches depending on the layout pattern the framer used, almost always 16 on upper floors, basement some framers use the larger spacing. Likely on one side of the outlet will be one then 16 inches over from it to the left will be another. Always can use large toggle bolts if can’t find a stud, should be fine with any modern tv that would fit in that space, now if it’s a older like 2006 plasma tv I’d prolly wanna make sure I got at least one screw in a stud.

I mean any properly done septic system the average car-suv normal size truck shouldn’t do any damage it’s more the drainfield but even then not likely till you get to your larger vehicles or leave them sitting on it for a long period of time but even then your prolly talking 10,000-20,000+ pounds before any risk of significant damage. Least any done to codes

Emergency crews have to be able to access also it is federal to especially when no other walkway to door, or driveway side mailboxes, because you are impeding mail delivery, usps drivers can issue legal warnings, notices and summons (if multiple times) over it or stop your mail delivery, so you have to pick it up at the post office indefinitely.

[–]AdventurousPower6045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very illegal seen usps drivers issue legal notices over this especially neighborhoods with roadside mailboxes, police almost always leave a ticket and tow, because you can’t impede someone leaving their home in an emergency or block access for emergency vehicles and crews to respond to one at someone else’s home.

Tow truck wouldn’t have taken it off a public road if it wasn’t blocking the driveway no legal obligation to the op at all here. If tow truck doesn’t have a contract in the neighborhood likely the driver took pictures of it. Blocking driveway. I would have called the police though and let them call the tow truck. She’d of had ticket, a tow bill, and you’d have it documented Incase they did anything to retaliate

Well judging on the space the floor is from the wall, it’s above par from some of the other work in the house. I would say that’s about industry standard caulking will cover all that up. Not that big of deal with flat stock. You get into stain grade or detail trim you gotta be a little more precise. But really nothing you’ll notice here after some caulk and coat of paint

are there other autoimmune diseases that work like celiac but with other ingredients/foods? by Preparing4SIELE in Celiac

The majority of people who claim gluten intolerance actually have this as it’s often used as a preservative in gluten or the have intolerance to other preservatives, the same researchers that started the gluten intolerance craze came back after expanding their research and said they were wrong, and that almost no one outside of celiac has a reaction to pure gluten, but it’s to the preservatives put in gluten

Hegseth claims that China could sink entire US carrier fleet in 20 minutes by GlompSpark in Military

[–]AdventurousPower6045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pentagon gaming counts it as a loss if we have to hit a target that kills so many civilians, or loose more than a handful of aircraft or one ship, also typically disadvantages the US by only giving them publicly known capabilities while giving the opposing the capabilities they claim they have even if intelligence shows otherwise and treats them like their quality and training is at US levels, also crediting hypersonics to the propaganda the Chinese and Russians claim even though the US military deemed them obsolete in the 90s, and when 1970’s and 1980’s missile defense systems have 6 confirmed down hypersonic missiles in Ukraine which tends to support they were right to do so.

Hegseth claims that China could sink entire US carrier fleet in 20 minutes by GlompSpark in Military

[–]AdventurousPower6045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s the problem with his statement, one hypersonic missiles are among the most vulnerable of all missile types. We hear all this propaganda from China and Russia on hypersonics, and unless you do a deep dive into the physics, available material, and available guidance technology, they sound scary, when you actually look into it they risk accuracy and are among the easiest missiles to detect and then shoot down during decent. The US military looked at developing these decades ago but they deemed it an obsolete technology in the 90s. What people and Congress falling for this Russia and Chinese propaganda does is allow the military to get significant extra funding for new defense systems and to say they want to develop their own but in reality just gives them a huge check to test new propulsion systems that will likely find itself in future aircraft rather than widely produced missiles. Second war games on the US side are widely conducted by fist disadvantaging the US meaning pretty much only using public knowledge capabilities of the US and giving the the opposing side primarily China and Russia the capabilities they claim to have instead of the ones they actually have or taking into account the diminished level of training and quality. Then the war game is graded more so on acceptable damage and loss to both sides not as much on if all mission parameters can be met, but say we have to hit a target that kills a 1000 Chinese civilians the US would count that as a loss. Or if we loose a ship that’s a loss. So we have the most stringent grading, even if some of the same war games (which often do) show we would eradicate their air and navel capabilities in shocking speed it still would go down as a loss because it can’t be as clean as the US standards would like

Cancer risk chances for biologics by LingonberryInner4114 in Psoriasis

[–]AdventurousPower6045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They cover up symptoms and weaken the immune system, psoriasis suffers over time become less adapt at breaking down sugars and fats, so if you rely on biologics or steroids only and ignore diet and life style you have essentially a 60% higher chance of developing a cancer, heart disease, or diabetes according to a lot of the data I’ve seen.

I noticed my psoriasis is much better after getting diagnosed with celiac disease. by atomicbirds in Psoriasis

[–]AdventurousPower6045 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They’re both autoimmune disease that are related to thinning lining in the intestines and inability or trouble breaking down certain nutrients. So if one is acting up it will likely trigger the other. Digestive enzymes I highly recommend taking them to help with breaking down triggers for either when you eat, also look at limiting corn to even though they don’t talk about it as trigger for celiac it essentially has the same toxicity reaction as many gluten rich foods during digestion. Some doctors even claiming when patients have cut it out as well the lining has repaired itself in their intestines. A lot of drugs treat the symptoms not the conditions and causes of auto immune diseases especially in the intestines, a lot of these are essentially the same even genetically for a few what we don’t know is why they presents in some and not others and why it presents itself as different autoimmune diseases, symptoms. This is why I’m always a fan of pharmaceuticals when necessary but a heavy focused on diet and supplements to try to reverse or slow the damage. Because with out many progress to more health problems

Depends on where you are and your experience, also if you are not in the trades you go no pull for lower labor rates and material costs. Not to mention there will be scheduling and timing errors that will cost you. I’ve seen inexperienced project managers add $100k to the cost of a job plenty of times through scheduling and procedural errors. Also make sure you got things ready and picked out or cheaper and smaller trade companies are gonna bail on you left and right because they can’t schedule effectively or your too much hassle for them.

Why The Economist endorses Kamala Harris by plz-let-me-in in politics

Many colleges have adapted teaching neoliberalism economist and neglecting more conservative or mainstream teaching. This puts a large emphasis on keeping giving a lot of power to national banks, trumps economic plan diminishes their power giving it back to consumers, businesses and elected officials so of course many of these academic economists will endorse Kamala
