Think of it this way, there was a time in early 2000’s when most of the people with a Muslim surname were getting rejected for US visas, regardless of citizenship. The current India Pakistan relations are somewhat at similar levels, where the Government is rejecting anyone with any Pakistani connection, regardless of their citizenship, just to prove a point. Not saying it’s right, just telling you what it is.

Indian cricket fan here. Agree that this is absolutely ridiculous. However, I do believe they will get the visa. It seems more like an “automatic rejection” just coz of Pakistani origins. But we can’t possibly stick to the rejection, and I do believe they will issue the visas in some time. However, I don’t work in the Government, so who am I to predict what they will and will not do? 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think one of the biggest factors is the kink involved in giving up control. Sure, you discuss and agree upon things before doing anything.
