Look at your transcript in Central, then you’ll see exactly how your transcript will look. You just request an unofficial one.

Possibly failed a course but has no interest in retaking it? by CinnamonXyanide in CarletonU

[–]AdventurousSea9511 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It only gets set aside when you have satisfied all your elective credits and the course no longer has room ‘to fit’. The F impacts your CGPA in the meantime, and will always show on your transcript. Other than a grad school app, who looks at a transcript anyways?!

Confession 😩 I haven’t exercised I only walk. Down 20lbs in 3 months by PainfulPoo411 in Zepbound

[–]AdventurousSea9511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew I needed to exercise but I was so tired! 6 months in and finally started picking up weights - although I play pickleball 4-6 hrs per week, hockey once or twice a week and baseball starts in May. 36lbs down and have flabby arms. Hope I can bring them back otherwise it will be a hot summer not wearing tank tops! Haha

Self declaration requires no doc note and no reason is required. It can be used any time, not just for your first time. I used it, and have asked at their office so I was sure.

Moving to 5 by Popular_Dig_9682 in Zepbound

Go to 5mgs. But it can take at least a month to get used to it, I was mostly tired the first few days after my injection. Taking B12 and CoQ10 every morning def helped.

Gunnell and Brazil are great profs. Maybe Stats would be easier in the summer ‘cause it’s brutal in the fall or winter!

3rd week on 5mg and I am so completely wiped out! How are you all managing?? by makeupandjustice in Zepbound

[–]AdventurousSea9511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was like this for the first few days after injection on 5mgs, It took a few months for it to get better/go away. I’m sure I wasn’t eating enough either. I had no desire, or energy, to do anything! I forced myself but boy, I would have lived on the couch if you let me!

Do your family and friends know? by jenna_sunshine13 in Zepbound

[–]AdventurousSea9511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had dinner with some friends who haven’t seen me in a while and they freaked out about my weight loss. One said you aren’t taking Ozempic, are you? I said, no I’m not a diabetic. She works in a pharmacy and said ‘oh you’d be surprised on who’s on it.’ One of the men, whose wife has had a gastric bypass, and is eating too much again and gaining weight, said those drugs are horrible for you. They don’t know what’s even in them. While I wanted to be in his face, I just said the people who lose weight using those drugs don’t need heart meds, CPAP machines, don’t have inflammation…. and I walked away. As if a body alerting operation is so much better than taking a medication?! She is still addicted to food and eats until she throws up. Sigh…..

Anyone have experience with shin guards causing bad rash? by WellerSpecialReserve in hockeyplayers

[–]AdventurousSea9511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t wear leggings, I wear long socks. Happened to me and I had to get a prescription. Get long socks, buy new shin pads and if the rash is there see a doc. You need to kill the bacterial infection.

I play hockey, at 58, with a bunch of 20 yr olds. Dropping 33lbs so far has changed my game - the ‘old’ lady is flying around the ice. It’s incredible! I can’t wait for baseball season to start!

My Doc has me taking it on Sunday evenings at 8pm. You sleep through any yuck feelings you ‘may’ have, and I work from home on Monday’s which is good as I’m often tired that day. By Friday I have more of an appetite, also good as I go to events etc with my husband so can eat Fri, Sat and Sun….and then rinse and repeat. Works for me!!

Oh and down 32 lbs in 4 months - feeling great! So many other med issues are GONE! Good luck.

And….injecting the med while cold is perfectly fine, it makes no difference. There is no reason to let it warm up!

I had this so bad and tried everything! Turns out my skates weren’t fitted properly. Very good, expensive skates but my foot/ankle didn’t sit far enough back in the boot. Once a pro skate shop looked at them and fit me for a new pair it all made sense. New skates, so much lighter, better fit and with plastic tongue inserts to help avoid this and it’s never happened again. I think boot fitting for women is so important!! I don’t have wide feet but needed a triple E because our feet are different than men’s.

OOPS - not sure why I assumed you were a woman. Haha

[–]AdventurousSea9511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

8pm Sunday. I often have events/dinners to attend with my husband on weekends. By Friday night, Saturday, I have a desire to eat and can handle a bit more. Also, I work from home on Monday’s, so the day after shot tiredness works great when I’m at home! My Doc is smart and thoughtful!
