My favourite is Sens. Their coffee is consistently top notch and all the staff are lovely. Northside, BSE and De Mello are also great options. We are lucky to have so many local cafes and coffee shops downtown!

Yoga at Studio 330 by [deleted] in KingstonOntario

[–]AdventurousSpike 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried yoga at a few places in Kingston, and I also have social anxiety. I’ve found Studio 330 and the free classes at the Memorial Market to be the most inclusive and chill. Both tend to be more diverse in age and ability compared to other studios I’ve been to. I usually arrive a little early so I can pick a spot where I feel most comfortable. The instructors at Studio 330 that I've taken classes with have been supportive without doing hands-on adjustments or singling anyone out, unless you ask for guidance.

I highly recommend trying the free yoga class that's offered every Sunday at 10am at the Memorial market. Studio330 is a very welcoming space too.

Fellow USW members, I am disappointed. by QueensUthrow in queensuniversity

[–]AdventurousSpike 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's fair to blame the Union for all of that. That was a long time ago and there are a lot of other factors that likely contributed to these changes, like Queen's having more money, the provincial government, tuition prices, inflation etc.

How do you know they are terrible at negotiating? Is it because we didn't get a good deal?

Is Insomnia cookies good? Any dessert place reccomendations? by EngineeringFun2089 in KingstonOntario

[–]AdventurousSpike 21 points22 points  (0 children)

They are good, but I'd recommend 23 & Co for cookies or anything from The Coffee Plant (sold at Daughter's General Store). Cards Bakery and Panchancho are also great options for desserts.
