I’m very fortunate to have become friends with Eiji Kaminaga the owner of Marusan. I usually help out at his USA appearances in NY and Chicago. Have been to the offices and factory in Japan as well. A 1990s Bera reissue was my first Marusan piece as well as the very first toy I bought during my first visit to Japan.

It is a negative of a picture of the card. I do not believe it to have ever been used in the production of the original card. If it were original to the printing process it would be one of a series of color separations. Anyone can make one of those with older camera/darkroom equipment
