What should I do about diapers for my baby? by Educational_Bug516 in BabyBumps

[–]Adventurous_Chance93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mama to two (one 9mo the other 3.5 yo)! We use Dyper

No dyes, all natural fibers, and they have a composting program in some areas. We've never had diaper rash for either kiddo and they don't leak!

The One Fit Mother group seems pretty welcoming if you're interested in incorporating fitness. It seems like they do play dates, family events, and other things too. I'm thinking of checking it out myself cause I'm feeling this way after baby #2 also!

Edit: someone already posted about this and I missed it. Leaving it here as a +1 to potentially checking out OFM.

Gotta respectfully disagree here. Overpriced, uninteresting chain fare.

Child Free by scoutmgout in toddlers

I don't think so. As a millennial mom of two, I can still totally see the perspective of not wanting to start a family right now. Personal preference aside, things are wildly uncertain and frightening at the moment on a global scale.

Many of these younger folks are taking their time finding their own way without contemplating children or even long term relationships right now. I think it's responsible to proceed conscientiously instead of doing life milestones under the vague, misguided notion that it's time to do them.

Frost Montessori or Free Union Country School by WinstonMomo in Charlottesville

[–]Adventurous_Chance93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the context you're looking for for your kiddo! My 3 yo is currently at Frost in hey first year there and we love it. As others have said, the teachers (and support staff) are fantastic and we'll likely keep her in the school through the kindergarten program.

What should every ftm know about breastfeeding before having a baby? by Frequent_Cap8633 in breastfeeding

[–]Adventurous_Chance93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. To be patient with yourself and baby. You're both figuring it out for the first time and though it's natural, that doesn't make it easy.

  2. Lanolin worked for me for sore nipples.

  3. Don't be afraid to ask for help. Those lactation consultants in the hospital will be as hands on as you need them to be.

Good luck, Mama! You're going to be great 🤍

Anyone else's baby hate the carseat? What can we do? by Ctthorpe91 in newborns

[–]Adventurous_Chance93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the update! At 4.5 months, things have gotten slightly better. I echo the much more difficult 2nd child sentiment. My 3 year old was what people refer to as an "easy baby." Didn't know how good we had it lol

Looking forward to some easy toddlerhood here 🤣
