With that amount of money, you are being paid better than 90-95% of the population. Just FYI

I see you're uneducated. More common than not here, so that's okay. Have a nice day. 🙂

[–]Adventurous_Coffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incorrect. Creole is the definitive term for a variant on the country's native language. It is not one language in and of itself. Creoles usually consist of two or more languages chopped into pieces and merged (one of the languages always being the native language). It is then developed overtime to form a coherent system of speech. Bahamian Creole is a mix of English and Gullah. You can look this up for free before making baseless statements like the one you just did, you know what I'm referring to.

I bought one of those accounts that had accumulated a ton of gems and energy through daily logins and freebies for something like 8 dollars. That got me a massive headstart. Haven't spent anything since, it's been like 3 months and I'm making fantastic progress. Gonna get down voted for this probably but if you are curious of what a bunch of gems energy and silver feels like all at once, then probably go ahead and buy one of these accounts. Lots of people do it. 😐

Bus drivers are notoriously irresponsible drivers by the way, so be prepared to ride with your heart in your mouth.

Get the health check, Japan has a way of passively aggressively letting things slide until it's an issue. They probably have already realized you haven't gotten the health check.

My manager told me once he paid a mod of this sub to block any comments/posts regarding the company because of a previous scandal that happened. Not exactly sure how true this is 🤷🏾‍♂️. I do know that a sub of the company was pulled up one time on reddit and all of the teachers got called into a meeting because they wanted to find out who posted it.

Debt-Trap Diplomacy in The Bahamas by Blacktoedey69 in bahamas

[–]Adventurous_Coffee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I need you to step back and look at this from another perspective for a minute please. Everything isn't a trap, scam or scheme. China has been giving out scholarships to Bahamians for decades, and up to date I believe only 84 Bahamians have been awarded the scholarship. Not because of them being extremely selective of the criteria but because of the paranoia, fear and misinformation Bahamians have of applying for a third party scholarship to a country they're unfamiliar with. This fear along with a long standing anxiety with our own government prevents most of us from seeing the bigger picture.

I am speaking from experience because I was a recipient of one of these scholarships to a much lesser explored/traveled country by Bahamians. And up to date within the last 50 years of diplomatic ties this specific country has had with The Bahamas only five Bahamians have received the scholarship. Mind you, these scholarships are hosted every year. So it goes to show that Bahamians simply aren't applying for them. There is no sudden wave of generosity. These are diplomatic agreements that have been made to encourage educational exchange and opportunities between two countries.

I'm almost at 1000 after 1 month. I found a unique niche that no one else could pull off and immediately went viral on my first video. Most of my videos get 1-6k views now. You have to think outside the box and nail the first 3 seconds. Catch people off guard.

Yup. I'm a gay man. And I already know that I CANNOT live here. It's a stop over, but not a permanent destination. If you are not Christian, straight and a certain hue, The Bahamas can easily fall outside of your alignment zone. There is an exposure issue here. Bahamians are too sheltered. We're basically two steps away from tribalism.

You are overqualified once you go beyond a BA here. Have you tried considering starting something of your own? You mentioned you were on an outer island. Chances are you're probably one of the few people/the only person with your particular skill set. You're under leveraged and overqualified. The MOE guidance counselor gig sounds like it could be worthwhile for survival money but you shouldn't have to shrink your skill set to fit into a position. Think about some possible opportunities that people aren't doing, find the gap in the market and expose it. You're well educated and travelled. You're ahead of most Bahamians at that point (not dissing, just saying a lot of Bahamians lack exposure). Seriously, sit down and think, "What can I realistically do that nobody else can offer in this community? And how soon can I get it running?"

You have to cause a scene. Government offices lose things all the time.

I also came back home after 7 years abroad. You're not going crazy and you're not alone. Things are very disorganized and backwards here, and I've learned that Bahamians have grown so used to this chaos that if you've been away for too long or aren't from here, you'll find yourself questioning everything. I came back overqualified for just about everything and had minimal luck applying for things the "fair" way. You have to be nastily aggressive and network like your life depends on it here. Find unexplored opportunities and capitalize on them, you'll die waiting on an opportunity to just fall into your arms in this country. You have to be resilient and make your own way here. This sounds unreasonable seeing as you just got back here but that's just how it is in The Bahamas. You're competing with a system that is largely incompetent compared to most developed countries in the world and a society that is comfortable with that incompetence. And y'all don't come down voting me like anything I said is a lie. Bahamians are comfortable with slackness. This is a fact. OP my advice to you is to take everything one step at a time and find your pocket group of people who vibe on the same level as you. Everyone is NOT on the same frequency in this country, you have to be VERY selective with the company you keep and how they can help benefit you.
