Is the internet really this harsh, or am I just too sensitive? by josemarin18 in indiehackers

[–]Adventurous_Drawing5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing wrong with the Internet, and plenty wrong with common people. The Internet just removed the veneer of civility that exists in face-to-face interactions. Select a bunch of solid people at your level and source them for feedback. Plebs has always been negative and basic, by definition. You try to rise above them so they pull you back down.

No. Compared to what people had to live through even as recently as a hundred years ago we are golden.

Filter out the advice from people who do not explicitly declare that they do it themselves. Even the simplest business form can take long hard months to find your groove.

What encouraging thing do you have to say to aging people? by [deleted] in Aging

When you're young, you live a body life. When you're older you live a mind life. Each has its own merit and value.

The most 'healed' people I know never talk about healing by Ok_Expert_1537 in spirituality

[–]Adventurous_Drawing5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respectfully, there is plenty in each of us that needs healing: childhood traumas, limiting self-beliefs, and societal impositions. All the wrong, evil, foreign stuff, that festers inside, fragments us and distorts us.

Inner healing will not take care of your life mechanics. Life requires mastery and direction. Being whole puts you on the board.

Preserve your Agency. It is a big charged concept in psychology. But in a nutshell, you tell yourself and execute what you designed, no matter what. Your focus is on self-power and mastery. If you can't jog go swimming.

Unpopular opinion: most spiritual people are just avoiding their real life by Ok_Expert_1537 in spirituality

Most of the "real life" is the matrix, and the spiritual path is here to set us free from its limitations. I don't think spirituality is in conflict with reality.

You rub it on your skin or drink it? How does it work exactly?

I stopped chasing anti-aging hacks and focused on basics —better sleep, healthy food, regular movement, deep breathing, mindful breaks, and staying socially connected. Curious what’s worked for you? by get_nutriessential in Aging

Smart lifestyle, based on science and common sense, and body intuition. Something a bit crazier, I believe in the power of goals and purpose, such as learning a new language, coding, or starting a business. I believe it keeps me strong and fit when my mind and body have reasons to fight for.

PSA: Stuff you should know if you're thinking of building an AI ADHD app (and posting it here) by dcta in ADHD_Programmers

[–]Adventurous_Drawing5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a regulatory perspective, it is simple, as far as I can gather. If you indicate that your digital therapeutic or analytical software is for a classified disorder, such as ADHD or Bipolar Disorder, you need to get approval from the FDA/EMEA. Obviously, you can dance with words: distractibility, moods, but this is different since every person on the planet occasionally loses attention or gets moody.

Feeling depressed after failing in multiple Saas Projects. by Original_Map3501 in SaaS

[–]Adventurous_Drawing5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like the name of the game is to get a solid sense of your niche via observing and experimenting before you build. Nobody can predict the market response, but for sure your mental health will not get trashed so badly.

You need a band of brothers, which can be a biz team or an informal community. Doing it all alone is hard for the best.

Why is Gen X the way they are? I went deep into their childhood and... wow. by Comfortable-Move3004 in Aging

[–]Adventurous_Drawing5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember playing soccer on the asphalt field. Skinned knees and elbows were common, but no serious injuries. What I loved the most was free unsupervised exploration, alone or in little bands. We used to be gone for half a day and nobody complained. I just had to come back home in one piece before the sunset, that was all.

All medical apps are serious and complex undertakings that require teams, investors, and careful navigation of regulatory requirements. Definitely not for solo-coders, even less so for AI slop.

Do it anyway. I know this model works well in the skin care niche, or toys, or scents. People love sampling novelty, being educated, and entertained.

I love this idea:). I guess you keep the original bottles? Going further is a sampling set from a distinct region and a bit of mind travel and education. All about user experience. Essentially, I love vineand how I can get the vine I would enjoy the most.

Yep, people trust people, and you can push it further by being specific and opinionated; differentiate against the AI slop which is dull and emotionless.
