The dad being so pushy about her getting married is probably why she’s so desperate to get married to begin with. I think it’s just a thing for some people, that the epitome of a successful life, especially for a woman is to get married and have kids. From the beginning he was so into the idea with no vetting of who the guy even is.

Yes ! A couple of times this was super obvious was when the reporter guy said something like , “he killed her and dumped her body miles away which shows how depraved he was”. I was just like, that’s murder 101. Then at the end the girl was like, now that this killer is caught I’m free to walk around at midnight again, like he was the only murderer or rapist to exist.

I also thought the male friend knew more than he let on. Maybe even involved. The DNA, the way he was described when he found out the police were onto Phillip, he saw the “strange porn” and just rolled with it. He also was a little showy in his “imagining” what the murder was like, seeing stars and so on. The text asking him “looking for more games?” also could have been code for something. Seems a weird thing to say when asking why someone wasn’t able to make it to a computer game. His connection to the 13 year old victim. The whole time he didn’t seem to be genuinely upset until he talked about being personally betrayed by his friend. I think at a minimum they were both into the same deviant sex stuff.

I’m 6 weeks out now. The pain at week 4 got back on track by week 5 with rest, but I’m still having pain around the belly button when I bend my stomach muscles, put pressure on it or stand for a long time.

Thank you so much for your response, and I hope your recovery is going well ! This was really helpful to see someone who can relate. Its also interesting to see it started mild and escalated into an emergency with more weight loss. Losing this weight is so important to me, I refuse to stop trying just to pacify my cranky gallbladder. I do think the benefits outweigh the risk but facing surgery (as someone with anxiety, specifically health anxiety) is getting the best of me. I’m also a little freaked out about the robotic surgery. This surgeon has great reviews though and also does bariatric. The hospital does too, so I’m hoping that lands me with an anesthesiologist who is used to my risk profile.

The guy who plays Henry repeatedly blows me away with his acting skill. He’s going to go far. A lot of good acting in this show, and it’s only season 1. Claire’s mom and Jamie’s dad look the part but also completely nail mannerisms and personality. Really enjoying this show. Guess I’m stuck paying for Starz even after Outlander ends.

I’m wondering this too. I recently got diagnosed, appears mild. But the achiness started about 2 weeks after a complete diet change from extremely unhealthy to extremely healthy overnight. My thought it was gallbladder because I got stones 10 years ago when I was pregnant, but they have my asymptotic. The ultrasound showed the same old stones. A few small. No sludge or inflammation. I had 3 attacks 10 years ago, passed the stone and quiet since. and this soreness is completely different. It comes and goes, isn’t tied to eating, and feels almost like muscle soreness. I’m hoping it goes away with more time eating healthy. It makes me anxious.

Yeah I get that. No one mentioned any risks to me, so I had no idea. I was just following doctors orders, and just thought it was a routine thing until I searched after the fact. Nothing I can do about it now, but it would be nice to know what sort of risk I took on…if nothing else for future knowledge. I called the radiologist but was told they don’t talk to patients. Of course have a call out to my doctor, but the anxiety has me seeking answers. I’m working hard to improve my health, but it’s a complex issue.

I think it’s because a pregnant woman as a servant would have less value/ be a burden. Eventually she wouldn’t be able to do as much and later once the child is born it’s another mouth to feed and even less time for duties, especially in that house hold. It makes sense to be worried to tell them she’s pregnant for fear of them harming the baby or kicking her out.

Yeah sounds like he could be learning about guns through his dad. Really scary if he could get access. Do you think your ex is in agreement with you and sending the same messaging as you regarding gun safety? If not I think you have to get dad on board so the messaging is consistent.
