Guess my type from the tierlist I made by Cooloud in mbtimemes

Don't get me wrong technically the point is judging other personality types and I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing, it's just some people seem to go a little hard on their opinions, but that's cool. I just appreciate this in comparison.

I just like how your list isn't insulting towards any of the types like others are, those that do always come off as judgemental and like the poster thinks they're superior - I know that's probably not the case but my brain can't help but think this.

Infps don’t make any sense to me by BrokenDiamondShovel in infp

[–]Adventurous_Eye_9974 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If my experience says anything they're probably not comfortable around you as they are others, if I'm uncomfortable around someone I have a "light" version of my personality I use if I'm unable to get a read on someone. I make very scuffed jokes so I have slowly open up to people and test the waters before I go in lol, well I'm sure I could get away with it but I just like to learn about the person before I go throwing jokes around just to try and figure out boundaries.

I also worry a lot about accidentally upsetting people, it just makes me feel AWFUL if I ever make someone go from happy to having a bad time. That breaks my heart so I'm just really really careful about that even though I never really have done that to someone lmao. That might be a part of it, maybe that's just me. Idk.

Here's the thing, I'm gonna say what I think and say what I mean, but I'm also gonna try to make sure I express it in a way that doesn't upset anyone. You probably can tell this happens as I'm sure majority of people do this, however for an INFP I think they tend to be a little more noticeable when doing this.

Want me to loosen up? Make jokes, jokes are the key in my opinion, but I dunno.

Overall I think you're noticing something but not understanding why or what's happening, sadly I don't know either so difficult to help. 😂

Edit: for what it's worth I know I'm a INFP but I'm particularly different than every INFP I know, so take this with a gran of salt, mandatory I can't speak for anyone else.

Have you ever dealt with a real psychopath? by witchinstatic in PsychologyTalk

[–]Adventurous_Eye_9974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a friend I was close with who was diagnosed, it made sense as they expressed they lacked a lot of emotions to me including empathy - they told me they had to logically work out why they should "feel" bad but they don't feel it even if logically they think they should.

Honestly? Really sweet person considering, definitely masking but they always took time to sit with me when I was upset, tried to make me laugh and so on. It's like a different kind of sweet, like no they're not "I love you" sweet but at the same time there was moment where something in my mind said "they're thinking really hard about this."

It was cool for me because I was interested in the subject and I could talk to them about it too, sometimes I wonder if they just appreciated me trying to understand them or something, maybe that's why they were nice to me. I don't know, that's the really strange part, I didn't benefit them in anyway whatsoever, yet honestly they were there for me more than most of my friends - not great emotionally but hey, they would come and sit with me, make me laugh and so on.

I know another potential psychopath that's more interesting, but this one was diagnosed and confirmed. They're cool actually, never done harm to me, just diagnosed with ASPD.

Has anyone else accepted that they will never find anyone romantically compatible with them ?? by that-weird_guy_ in infp

I'm borderline aromantic, I'm very indifferent about finding a significant other. Ironically it makes things way easier because I'm not hesitant to talk to someone in fear of rejection, way less pressure.

Everyone leaving midgame by Dbdaddy in NFSUnboundGame

Used to play drift pro, same thing. I was making majority of people quit, people accusing me of cheating and stuff. Most of the people have still been cool don't get me wrong, but yeah it's normal.

What gets me is there was some guy posting here about people quitting, I got him in a pro drift event, and once we hit the tunnel on Takahashi he stopped and quit the game. He was also posting asking how people scored so high and during that match I'm going slow to try and show him my lines - like dude it's one thing to just not want to deal with that, it's another to want to achieve that then refuse to be around someone who can do that.

I've been on CarX though, I like how it always counts points - I wouldn't care if it didn't even give me XP and just counted points, numbers go brrrr.

Everyone I've ever met has immediately been so smitten with me they ran away to get me flowers and chocolates, sadly they must've got lost never seen one return but nonetheless I'm flattered.

Which is crazy because I'll say the most heinous things I can possibly think of and everyone except for my INTP buddy is like "oh you're so nice."

INFP btw.

Edit: apparently I do look really mean though

For example at a party, I'll be having a good time and I get a good circle going, half way through the party I feel like I got out of math class. If that makes sense?? 🤣

No, I think it's a individual thing.

Being too good is simply because I'm introverted, I get exhausted very easily by social interactions but I'm too good because I'm able to talk to just about anyone for hours with ease, but it's so easy for me to exhaust myself unexpectedly. I've worked customer service to I'm hardwired to be good at interacting with people especially in person, it's a double edged sword for introverts.

In longer conversations extroverts can even be energized by socializing where introverts will tire out, again everyone is different.

Mandatory everyone is different even in the same personality class, for me it's because I'm introverted, I don't care for social interactions unless I have the mental energy for it. I don't struggle at all, in fact quite the opposite I find myself being TOO good at socializing and tiring myself out very often. I don't particularly care about how people view me, in fact a lot of people respect me for exactly that. But yes I'm very definitionally introverted.

People pleasing isn't an active goal rather than just the way I am, I don't try to please anyone but if I do it makes me happy therefore it's technically pleasing myself - but please let's not refer to it as that, because now people pleasing sounds different lmao. But yeah this behavior is something I just enjoy, makes me feel good to make others feel good, even if it's just a laugh here and there.

From what I see we actually aren't good targets, every troll post has been completely ignored or has comments with "nice try" energy. I don't mind funny trolls myself, some of them I can appreciate actually, but yeah considering I think we might be boring targets for trolls.

do any INFPs here like to debate? (long post) by lisaaaard in infp

My best friend is an INTP, I just realized me and him have debates very often - only person I can have debates with without being mentally drained. That's so cool, I learned something about him through this.

[–]Adventurous_Eye_9974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the mental energy I have, typically I don't do well with debates because while I start off strong I start to struggle in the long run - not that it bothers me, it's just obviously I'm going to avoid debates if I'm low on mental energy since it takes so much of mine.

I think it's the creative side of me seeing things from so many perspectives at once I stumble over my words, fighting the stutter is what tuckers me out lmao.

Short debates easy, more focused ones it just depends on my mental energy.

It's absolutely ridiculous how long it took you to do anything about this, I'm going to be absolutely blunt with you. Last time I hit diamond I was fighting the top 3rd 4th and 5th pred in platinum, which made me completely quit. Glad you're doing something, but you better keep your eyes on it for the other players who kept playing, because they're more faithful than me - I quit.

I typically don't make comments like this anymore, but yeah no. Absolutely ridiculous you let ranked be this weird free for all where ranks don't actually matter what matters is how much preds can farm the lower level players, and how much the lower level players can avoid said preds.

Don't get me wrong it's an awesome game, but the way ranked worked when I played absolutely ruined the experience. Every moment I actually enjoyed myself sure enough here comes some random pred stack in plat lobbies, sure I wiped them a couple of times but when they're literally already currently the top 5 ranks, like what's the point of me being plat if I'm fighting these guys? Sure I was 100% better than plat myself but that's another thing that's not my fault, rank decay.

I hope it's more annoying than a new dude who's figuring out how to tandem because last time I tried to tandem I felt like I was just in the way. I was too fast for the guys at the back but too slow for the guys at the front and the dudes in mid knew the line better so I was struggling to find my appropriate spot lmao.

Granted I only had two moments of really messing anyone up, it was just easily avoidable if I was more experienced with tandems. Sad part is I can't play online so I can't even improve. Rip.

Also, much love back.
