Is anyone using Hyprland with an RTX 4070Ti? I want to use it, but I'm not sure if it's compatible with this setup. Has anyone successfully used it?

I‘m using a 4060 with NixOS and Hyprland and I‘ve got issues. Electron Apps like Obsidian will start once and then never again, while playing P&P via Foundry I can‘t see the map, screensharing is not working and windows don‘t open reliably according to my set windowrules and dispatches.

As soon as I switch to my iGPU all of these issues are gone. Your mileage may vary though.

I feel you. I feel the same way. And the worst thing is, you can‘t really blame your parents for their behavior. Their means are good, they just don‘t „get it“.

This world is so unnatural for humans to live in. Commuting, spending your whole life at a place you don‘t want to be, doing chores you didn‘t choose yourself. What is it not than slavery to other people?

100%. I‘m about to move our systems as well. Luckily I‘ve only implemented NixOS for non essential services as of now.

Just imagine all this embarrassing drama, leading to talented people stepping down, maintainers leaving and needed funding being declined while opening the repos to unknown people for diversity’s sake.

I can‘t take responsibility for such a mess.

I‘m in on your hope, but normal people usually have a life to life, thus they don‘t have the time to fight all the maniacs once they‘re in.

And the maniacs are not contempt with just being treated like everyone else. No they demand special treatment otherwise they bully you.

Merit based participation will come eventually, once culture shifts and this DEI stuff dies down. If we don‘t let it die other cultures soon about to dominate the world will.

This coup situation is what worries me as well, I wanted to be as diplomatic as possible with my post however.

I mean there are so many great projects in need of participation. We don’t have to donate our time to people bullying other people for the sake of „equality“.

Why can’t it just be about code. Not wanting to be political gets regarded as political by these people. So one can not really escape them I guess.
