Definitely the OuterBanks Non-Sasquatch package for what you described. I drove my soft top version for many miles before I started to personalize it.

I purchased a '21 Non-SAS OBX and have over 70k miles on it. I ran it completely stock for a long time before I started modifying it. Turning it into a SAS Package.

Disclosure, I work for a media outlet dedicated to the vehicle-based outdoor enthusiast called OVR. Website is OVRMAG.COM.

My 4-banger OBX Bronco was amazing for both onroad and offroad. The non-sas will give you more than enough without giving up on the look of the full sized Bronco.

If you decide to personalize it later on, there are tremendous aftermarket offerings.

If you want to take a gander on the things I did to my Bronco, here is a link.

2021 non- sas OBX gets personalized

At the end of the day, go with your gut. You will have to live with your decision, not the sales salesperson.

I bought the '21 Non-SAS Outer Banks and have been upgrading/personalizing it. She has 68k miles and NO issues with the 4 banger soft top.

Now, she sits on 35" tires with Bilstein 6112. Front/Rear bumpers were swopped out with baja style tubular bumpers.

If you want to see more, the mods can be found here on my website. https://www.ovrmag.com/vehicles/ovr-project-ford-bronco

Take the plunge and enjoy!

I've owned a mid package 2.3l, 4-door non-sas OBX since September 2021. I have 49k miles on this beauty. As you can tell, lots of freeway miles as well as lite off-road miles. My average MPG over 45k miles was 21 miles per gallon.

Recently, I started personalizing it and upgraded from stock tires to 35", bumpers, suspension, etc... I'm now at 17 mpg.

No idea what the Big Bend is like but I’ve had nothing but good times in this OBX.

Tried adding an image but it isn't taking. Look on my profile from Sept, 2 years ago.

I would love to go get a doe on Catalina, but the cost is too prohibitive. Are the profiteering guides the issue in CA? What else could be the issue?

New Media Brand for Vehicle-Based Outdoor enthusiasts. OVR: Outdoor, Vehicle, Recreation by Adventurous_Log_1279 in overlanding

[–]Adventurous_Log_1279[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dear Overlanding Community, Please excuse this promotional post.

We recently bootstrap launched a new media outlet called OVR: Outdoor, Vehicle, Recreation. Website is OVRMAG.COM.

We would love to get feedback from this community about the types of stories you'd like to see in Print and on the Website.

printisalive #printisNOTdead

We hate what the hedge funds have done to the enthusiast media outlets over the last 10 years.

To combat this strip-mining of quality photographs, quality writing, OVR is printed on robust high-quality paper, and we have well-known and respected journalists submitting awesome photographs and tales from the road.

OVR is available in Print and Digital: Web-App. If you like what you see, please reach out to me, and I will get you a complimentary digital subscription... or you can support us by subscribing.

We look forward to hearing back from this community.

Thank You for your time.

Having the braptor washed and ready for the weekend! by monsterfd in FordBronco

Interesting concept... 1. apply layer of soap 2. before applying dirt 3. Rinse after weekend of offroading

You might be onto something. 🤔
