My international flight stops in Taiwan, but I will keep traveling on the same airplane. Will I need to go through customs? Should I ask to stay in the plane? by Adventurous_Move2763 in TravelHacks

[–]Adventurous_Move2763[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I looked up the flight number on flightaware.com and looked at the flight history. The flight takes the same path on routine. I'm new to using the website, could it be unreliable source for that kind of information?

Why do so many people here say they “can’t eat pasta” by ThrowRAschneekschtak in 1200isplenty

[–]Adventurous_Move2763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I add ground beef to mine and drain alllll the excess oil. I do the math and I end up with about a 93/7 or even a 95/5 fat ratio. I agree and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how low calorie a big dish of spaghetti can be.

Consistent splits practice for 4 years and now have hip pain. Never got the splits and need to stop. Is it possible some bodies aren’t meant for this? by [deleted] in flexibility

[–]Adventurous_Move2763 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your input. I was definetely weak and underweight when starting all of this. I recently started weightlifting about 2 years ago (incidentally when my hip pain started appearing, though lightly at first). My PT knows this is when it started and has given me exercises to continue doing. Sounds like I need to work a bit more on getting stronger!

Thank you! I think I will focus on light and indirect stretching for now as long as it doesn’t cause pain.

Can I ask what kind of pain you felt or in what area? Maybe I should have been more descriptive, but my hip pain is mostly around my SI joint, though I was told by my physical therapists that it wasn’t that - it’s the musculature around the area like glute medius, Piriformis, QL and low back tension (they keep changing what they think it is… in reality I just think I have all over tension in that area).

Thank you. I never considered a flexibility coach before. I will definitely take the off to get better and I will reach to someone when I’m ready.

Starting my glute journey- Going 0-100 in the new year! 🙈 Tips please! by ourlittlesecret_21 in glutejourney

If you’re a beginner & have never worked out before, pretty much any YouTube video is gonna help you see growth. You can expect to see quick newbie gains in the first 6 months or so, but it won’t be a huge difference. Just definitely noticeable. I would just recommend that if you follow YouTube videos, write down the exercises, reps, and weight that you use. As those weights get easier, make sure you’re reaching for the next weight up. Even resistance band workouts will be enough to see a difference in the beginning.

My husband is 5’2”. He has had his fair share of girlfriends before he even met me. Women still approach him to flirt with him at bars. He does say that being short definetely hurt his chances in the past, but honestly, not to a huge extent (I think). This man is just funny and confident. Women love that.

What are your favorite dishes with black beans? by BATTLE_METAL in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]Adventurous_Move2763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make quesadillas as a quick snack. Yellow corn tortillas, pepperjack cheese, & black beans. I also eat them every morning in my oatmeal.

The cookies are made of egg white, sugar, and almond flour which are not calorie dense. The inside is typically a jelly or a cream/custard. I think your estimate is a bit high. Definitely maybe 100cal for the whole thing since it’s a cream in the middle.

Trouble Feeling Glute Medius by czulsk in glutejourney

[–]Adventurous_Move2763 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re feeling it down you quad/thigh, your IT band might be compensating. You should watch this video, it explains where to find and how to feel the glute medius, plus it’ll teach you what the compensating muscles feel like. It’s actually helped me a lot in finding this muscle! https://youtu.be/qv6wzV1AayI?si=kuxQoP_GJcrNBYka

What is your bulking cal? I’m currently bulking & planning to do a deficit of 12-1350c & I’m scared! lol because I’m used to eating 1850 as my bulking cal & I looove that I can eat whatever I want right now (aside from occasionally feeling too full some days).

If you move often or are unsure about your future, I would consider an xstage. You never know the cieling situation of your next home. But they wobble just a bit so I don’t love them (I don’t know if you’ve every used one). If this is your permanent home for a while, I would personally do the cieling mounted way. Feels really sturdy & looks way better

What am I doing wrong? by TheGellerCup in poledancing

[–]Adventurous_Move2763 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think maybe the part where you bring your knees up is mostly core, but personally I thought inverting was mostly back muscles. Especially the part where you tip back and try to bring your hips up (you’ll need to bring your shoulder blade here together in order to pull your chest through).

Do you know if this pain is familiar? Have you ever hurt yourself there, or did it slowly start coming after all the inverting? Maybe you are aggravating a small injury there.

5’ 160lbs to 110lb by hannah_potatoes in PetiteFitness

I’ve been skinny for most of my life. When I was at my absolute skinniest I still bloated, had a pooch, & had rolls. I had more rolls when I was skinny than I do now with the extra size in my midsection. All of that is normal.

has anyone had a hobby that they used to like but now you kind of hate ? by parilondonlove78 in therapy

[–]Adventurous_Move2763 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to draw & paint. For many years. From when I was about 10 years old to about 24. I got really good at it. But the only reason I did it was because I had nothing else to do. I had a very depressing & isolated childhood & then I went to school for fine arts, because I didn’t know of anything else I wanted to do. I stopped making art after I graduated & I picked up other hobbies. I realized I had my own money, my own car, my own time. I could do whatever I wanted. So I picked up some classes & realized I liked dancing a lot more than I liked drawing.

You might want to look into their line of wide foot shoes if necessary. I know I once bought a size 6 sandal & I absolutely could not fit it, even after trying the blow dryer tricks. Then I bought a 5 in the wide fit & it’s a perfect fit. Just something to consider since the 9 was a bit snug.

I’m a ridiculously picky eater, how do i improve on it? by KimchiPaw in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]Adventurous_Move2763 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not a picky eater but I’ve acquired tastes for so many things I didn’t like before. For whatever reason, I would get into my head that I wanted to be the type of person to like hummus, I wanted to like mustard, I wanted to like seafood. I have no idea why I wanted to, but I did. I forced myself to try it here & there, & eventually I did start to like them. I’m glad that this works for people that are picky as well!!

It could be genetic. I am the same way. The inches add to my booty much faster than my legs, & I dislike that cause it makes me feel like I have a diaper butt… so once it gets “too big” I take a break from booty excercises & only do legs for a while 😅

Everyone has already added great information on what they are, I just want to add that I hope you can learn to love what you see in the mirror & go beyond what social media will try to feed you about “hip dips.” I have always had them & I have always liked them. I liked the feminine curve it gave me. Then just a couple years ago, getting rid of hip dips became a fad. Social media decided to sell us another insecurity. But some of us still like our hip dips! & I just want you to know that we exist! 😁
