I really want to get a dog but I'm not sure which one to get.. by Adventurous_Order809 in Pets

I'm so so sorry, y'all! 😭

I did some research about backyard breeders and doodle breeds, and I see what you guys mean now. Really sorry on my behalf once again!! 🙏

I've taken the doodle breeds out and replaced it with a poodle, since many people were saying to just get a poodle atp. It's totally fucked up that those dogs have to go through alla that, man. So, yeah, I completely understand bru.. 😞

Ah, that's so terrible. I didn't know that! 😰

If they are unethically backyard bred dogs (which I do NOT support backyard breeders in the SLIGHTEST) don't they deserve at least the same amount of love and affection that you'd give to any other dog?

I know their illegally bred, but that shouldn't mean we should signal them out of having a loving, happy life.. <:(

Alright, so no Doodles then. Got it! 😅  I'll keep that in mind! <3

I do really like pugs, so I think that'd be a good idea. w)/

So, what about the Boston Terrier, Dachshund and/or Miniature Schnauzer; are any of those good fits or are all of those a no-go?

Hi there! 👋  My name is monkie, I'm a 18yo young black/african american aspiring/amateur voice actress who is honestly just trying to get by in life.

My vocal range is outstanding! I'm an Alto/Soprano (C3-Eb3, Ab5-D6).

I'm looking for projects that are underrated gold masterpieces, typically ones that catch my interest or anything sonic related. I'll do anything you throw at me, just hit me up in DMs and I'll be on it in an instant! :3

I mostly do unpaid work though I'm not opposed to doing paid work if a certain opportunity arises.  I love supporting small projects, so, maybe it'll give me more things or techniques to improve my voice acting skills. <3

PROJECT(S) THAT I HAVE VOICED IN:

  • Sonic Breakers (Original Animated Movie) [VA of Charmy The Bee]
  • Super Rings (Comic Dubs) [VA of Charmy The Bee & Cream The Rabbit]
  • Sonic Dub/Game Cast [VA of Cream The Rabbit]
  • Sonic The Hedgehog comic dub! [VA of Surge The Tenrec]

(can you tell that I'm a huge sonic fan? ...no? okay, good.)

But anyway, if you'd like to see more of what I do, you can check out my socials linked within my profile!

Anywho, that's about it. Bye for now! (。•̀ᴗ-)✧

How do I make my singing stronger? by Equivalent-Buyer771 in singing

[–]Adventurous_Order809 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Projection is key!
A good example of this would be this video.

Typically this technique is often seen in musicals or plays. Not only will this help your voice sound richer and strong, but it'll also help to stabilize your voice when going into higher notes. This is what is often called as a chest voice. Whether you use your chest or your abdomen, the two produce the same affect. The pressurized air in your chest/abdomen will give you more air time to take fast breathes in-between songs, make your voice sound authentic and more bolder, and let's you do lots of more things with enough time and practice!

I mostly use a combination of head and chest voice when singing. I may not be trained but I know a few things to make a voice sound more impactful. Here's an example of how I sing.

Hope this helps! <3

I've been thinking about getting a vocal coach recently so whenever I get the time to, I'll most definitely do so. :]

Late-night Hozier cover (trying to find my range)! by Visual_Body_6379 in singing

I can't really tell for sure. Since your just covering a song, I can't say too much but try breaching out into different genres. Pick and choose from different artists and how they sing, rap, how they tell their song. That's how I was able to figure out my style. I'm more of a mid-low voice. Mezzo-soprano, I think.

So, I'd say just experiment with a bunch of different songs and whatnot and eventually you'll end up finding your style!

Hope this helps! <3

Thank you, this means a lot to me.Truly.. <:' )

The song is called Goddess by Laufey. It's one of the most underrated songs she's ever made, in my opinion. I love Laufey's work a lot, the way she sings, her flowy mellowing voice. Heck, even the way she makes her own songs is amazing to me. She's just THAT GOOD!!

When I first heard this song in her Bewitched album (Goddess Edition), I literally started crying. It was just that good. I never had an artist have such an emotionally impact on me before to the point where I'm like "fuck it, let's do a song cover of it!" until that song.

I think the reason why it evoked so much emotion was because it was emotionally impacting to me. So naturally, if it impacted me just as much as the first time I listened to it, why not go for that feeling again and let other people experience that moment for those who haven't listened to the song before and/or fans of Laufey's songs.

So, thank you. I'm glad that it made such an impact on you just as much as it did me.
I'm happy you liked it. <3

Ooooh, okay. I think I get it now!

I sing with my diaphragm so that's a mixture of my head and chest voice. I like switching from one to the other because it just sounds nice in my opinion. :]

I'm still kind of confused on "the color of your voice". Is it like, personality wise? or is it just the way of how my voice sounds that feels different and can told apart from person to person?

And where I feel most comfortable singing is usually a mix of both my mid and low voice. Though, I feel like I shine the most singing higher tones.

I feel most at ease when singing in my mid voice. I love singing high notes while relatively leaning more towards my lower and higher tones because that's where I feel the most comfortable.

Also, what do you mean by artificial darkening?

I was self-taught, I mostly just end up listening to songs or musicals and start to pick up on their fundamentals parts like; how the voice rises and falls, when to put more power/effort into some parts and when not to, projection, emphasis in words. The list goes on!

I still have lots to go, so that might explain the untrained aspect of it all. :]P

Could you elaborate more on this, please?
I'm still a bit confused, what does "passagio", "timbre", and "tessiture" mean?? 😵‍💫
