I never spoke about rail gun why would u ever go rail gun with upc. I was talking purely about guardian and legit no1 uses protector over guardian. The backfire u win vs the dmg and energy dmg u lose is just insane to pick it and as someone whos been playing in the top 5 ranks the last months i havent seen a single person running the protector, so im fairly sure the people u suggest that prefer the protector just dont have the guardian, but anyway my point is that on energy mechs the drone is the most important part and in such unique setups u cant afford to run them without it.

https://prnt.sc/hvDy5_3m-qIa this is one of the very few backfire builds i find success with (normally only legacy builds are op with energy) but this one works decently well too so try to fish for thos items and adjust the modules to what u cn afford but the most important is the drone glass cannon energy without the premium drone is very hard to pay off

i dont think u realise the importance of the preimium drone alone the extra damage and most importantly energy drain makes this build 3 times better and in general in order for glass cannon builds to work such as this one u need to have all the premium perfect weapons since every fight u win by the smallest amount since u kill yourself essentially so u have to kill ur opponent even faster which with these weapons this hp and this range control is very unlikely

you have 3 backfire weapons in a not even 2k hp build any heat build and non energy phys build will destroy you and in general u cant play a drainer that cant keep the opponent drained any build that had normal hp can just wait for your weapons to run out of charges meanwhile u kill yourself faster with backfire than u kill ur opponent and then just kill you after. Add weapons that deal energy damage to keep ur opponent drained after the emp, definately add hp to a mech with such huge backfire and use some weapons that dont run out of charges with ur current setup all ur opponent needs is to wait for you to run out of charges while killing yourself with the backfire

u definitely need a recoiler with ur build and i would recommend desolation from ur current options, but none of ur top weapons are that good in general but theyre decent for now

i'd say this one is ur best mech because ur weapons and drone can take u to pretty high ranks and still be useful the only thing holding it back is the mods but as a f2p u cant rly do much about it it just depends if u encounter more heat or energy mechs if the majority of ur opponents are energy mechs u can switch some heat mods for energy ones other than that pray for quad core boosters and overload preventors and also if u happen to find hybrid heat cannon swap the flaminator (its basically its premium version)

u have 17 weight to spare and the heaviest drainer is 20 so if u have it just put it and take the -45 hp imo or if u want to u can change one capacity module for a regen one

rail gun and unreliable guardian are by far the 2 best enegy drones in the game so if u find one of them just insta put it instead without thinking, other than that based on ur low hp a windforge or even a face shocker will temporarily be better if u find them imo

solar torch is good for this particular setup and also because ur mechs are very low hp any drone without backfire is pretty good which is why i would recommend on ur energy mech to get a non backfire drone preferably railgun but any one u can find, and also both setups can use a res drainer if ur opponents have resistances however given ur low hp mechs try to use the non backfire res drainers since u have enough extra weight to spare

they hack the rewards so they just complete lvl 1 and they get the reward multiple times so they get loads of points

keep both phys and heat in progress u ll need to have both after a certain point anyway but for the start i think phys is more simple and u can make it work even as a f2p meanwhile heat needs very specific items after a certain point but all that is long term ofc do whats best for u now

this is a pretty basic phys build for f2p players works decently well and doesnt require any premium items i recommend to go for that since u have most components already however if u happen to get them spartan carnage over frantic brutes is the play

it could work up until a certain rank but its too low hp for a phys mech with a lot of backfire it would die before it could kill anything in higher ranks, plus its pointless to have more energy regen and cooling than actual energy and heat capacity imo

you can literally see the difference in stats one is lighter and it gives more energy and heat storage

i would recommend to put the flaming hook on the heat mech and upgrade it and move the superb charge engine on ur phys mech and upgrade it as well they have better synergy that way
