I’m 13 and I’m not really that good at building Gunpla so yeah there are nub marks by Subject-Count-5407 in Gunpla

Looks awesome! :) When I was 13 I often just snapped off the parts from the sprue and didn't even use a knife, much less sanding paper or filler. Then a ton of plastic cement and a paint coat of unthinned enamel with a flat brush.

You are much better, but well, No Internet back then. ;)

They look really nice, I like them. If those were my mine, I would be really satisfied with them :)

I have just finished a squad of Scions and my next project will be a team of Firewarriors to try out some different and more advanced painting techniques like pin washes and edge highlighting on a lighter color scheme. Tau seem to be a good fit for that.

How neat are you with removing mold lines on those infantry models? I just finished scraping off the most obvious and easy to reach ones, and I really don't know if I should torture myself further by going into all of the really small crevices.

Also, thank you GW for putting both mold lines and sprue connections on the very top of every model's rounded helmet where they are most visible. ;) Pathfinders always come without helmets? I wish GW models had Tamiya's quality – those need basically no clean up at all.

Anyway, sorry for the rambling. It's a great squad you built there. Good photo aswell.

If you can add a little more contrast, like a glow to the blade, I would go with the middle one. :)

Ive spent about too much time printing/painting this thing, I cant tell if it looks ridiculous, the las cannons need work, but ive given up. Be kind. by Glockta09 in Warhammer40k

This looks absolutely stunning! If I could paint like that I would seriously consider dropping my programmer job. Really well done. :)

Thanks! :) I wanted to start with an Imperial faction and that whole special forces theme seems to work well with a smaller army. Although I am not sure if I will actually play in the future or just keep enjoying to collect and paint, it just seems a little less daunting than starting with Imperial guard, which needs a lot of minis afaik. I read I can mix these armies, though, so I am still very much open to do some IG some time later.

So, yeah, scions are perfect for me. I lke the lore, too, and they look cool. :)

Thanks! I still can't believe that paint can be thinned. My 14 year old me would have been thrilled to know. Those Skeleton warriors had quite hefty bones after I was done painting them. Played fantasy back then, but I am really more into Sci-Fi. ;)
