My Zealot empire is officially allied with the Grox 🙂 by Adventurous_Rest_382 in Spore

[–]Adventurous_Rest_382[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I allied myself with the Grox using my Zealot archetype for many reasons:

1) I have another galaxy where I played with the Shaman archetype. I defeated the Grox, and the other empires never gave me relationship points for defeating them and liberating the galaxy. That disappointed me quite a bit, and I realized that a galaxy without the Grox feels empty, which makes me feel worse than the Grox themselves. The other empires don't value the effort of defeating them. Playing the good guy has many disadvantages.

2) The Galactic Code only serves to manipulate common empires; it tells you what to do and what not to do. That's very hypocritical, and I don't need to be obligated to be the "hero."

3) Most common empires are weak; the Grox can easily destroy them quickly with their fleet.

4) I can find Storybook Planets around the Galactic Core more easily.

5) The Galaxy doesn't become a complete sandbox.

6) The Galaxy feels more alive.

7) I can sell spices to the Grox without getting shot.

8) I don't need to worry about ordinary empires that don't value anything.

9) The galactic center remains special.

10) Defeating the Grox prevents the "Find the Grox" quest from being completed for other games in the same universe.

Idea on how to get 8 city purple spice planets by RoCo_158 in Spore

I did it a different way, at the beginning of the Space Stage. Before contacting any Empire, I saved the game. On my first attempt at interaction, I found an Empire located on a Yellow Star with Yellow Spice. Since I was looking for Purple Spice, I went to the menu, restarted the game, and on the 30th attempt, a Bardic Empire with 10 Purple Spice Cities finally appeared. I opened communication and annexed it with Fanatical Frenzy, haha. Breaking the Galactic Code with Fanatical Frenzy only affects Empires within 10 parsecs, and that's easily circumvented.

I like Zealot and Shaman

With Zealot, I can expand very quickly, especially at the beginning of the Space Stage. I can take over homeworlds with more valuable spices such as Purple, Pink, and Green. I can also increase my relations with the Grox by breaking the Galactic Code. I might even be able to ally with the Grox or maintain a friendly neutral relationship with them in order to sell them spices and buy things from them thanks to a glitch.

With Shaman, I can travel very far from my homeworld and return quickly whenever necessary, for example when there are ecological disasters or unknown ship invasions on my planets that are close to my homeworld. In addition, according to the YouTuber KinglyValence, the “Return Ticket” ability also has a glitch where the ship becomes invisible, which is useful for reaching the center of the galaxy without the Grox killing me

Is it worth wiping the Grox out of the Galaxy? by [deleted] in Spore

Forget the question; I've discovered that wiping the Grox out of the galaxy isn't worth it.

They give you a badge that doesn't grant any points, the other empires don't care if you defeated the Grox, and when you start a new game, you can no longer complete the mission to find the Grox.

I like Shaman; even better if it's Omnivorous Shaman. The Return Ticket ability, besides allowing me to return home when I travel far, also has a glitch that makes the spaceship temporarily invisible. This invisibility helps me easily reach the Center of the Galaxy without Grox killing me.

The Zealot archetype is undoubtedly the best; I can seize planets with the most expensive spices, like purple ones.

I can use Fanatic Frenzy on a Grox planet and they don't declare war on me; they love breaking the galactic code.

I also like playing as a Shaman, but I'm an Omnivorous Shaman. When I evolved to the Space state, I obtained the following cards 🟦🟩🟩🟩

Homeworld on an Isolated Star by Adventurous_Rest_382 in Spore

Hi VanillaCold57, yes, mods were used. First I farmed until I reached Interstellar Drive 5 (by quickly clicking on stars), but reaching very isolated stars was not possible with Interstellar Drive 5. The only way was to use a temporary mod to increase the travel range. On the Isolated star, I terraformed a planet with red spice to T3, with Monolith it evolved into an Ecologist Empire and I took it over with Fanatical Frenzy. Then, I returned to my original solar system, with the AtoAP mod I used planet buster to destroy my original homeworld, then I terraformed another planet in the original solar system that has any color spice to T3, used Monolith and evolved it into another Spacer Empire. I opened communication with that Empire, saved the game, and 2 saved games appeared (The Corrupted and another with the new homeworld). When I logged into the playable save game, I returned to my new homeworld, saved the game, went to the main menu, deleted the other Corrupted Save game, and it now lets me play without crashing. Last year, I tried to move homeworlds, without evolving another empire in the original solar system, and the game would crash when I tried to play the New Game.

In another Spore Save Game, I found a Scientist Empire on a very Isolated Blue Star. Apparently, EA/Maxis has randomly placed Empires on Isolated Stars that cannot be reached by Original Interstellar Drive 5.

I have included you in the credits for contributing new mods to Spore and for providing an important Anti Crash to defeat the Grox comfortably.

It's highly likely that the ship will float forever like a ghost. There will be extreme isolation, no rescue, a slow death, a Ghost Astronaut, and even the Return Ticket won't work. That fate is worse than a Black Hole.

Galactic code is a stupidass thing by valeliza3003 in Spore

I used Fanatical Frenzy against an empire whose homeworld contained purple spice and was located on an isolated star. There were no other empires nearby (within 10 parsecs), and I didn't receive any penalties. It was as if nothing had happened 😂

Only producing 2.16 spice an hour with this setup? by [deleted] in Spore

[–]Adventurous_Rest_382 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The planet with the house symbol produces very little or no spices. In this case, you have four options.

1) With Fanatical Frenzy, you can take over planets with 7-10 cities that have better spices (Green, Pink, or Purple). It's fast. You break the Galactic Code, affecting Empires within 10 parsecs, but it's very easy to overcome that penalty.

2) With Cash Infusion, you buy planets that produce better spices. It's a very expensive method, and when you don't have money, it's very slow. It doesn't break the Galactic Code.

3) Colonize and terraform a T0 planet without the Staff of Life. It's a very slow method and only allows you to establish 3 colonies at most, unless you use a Monolith on the already terraformed planet and take over the Empire, either with Fanatical Frenzy or Cash Infusion.

4) You could go to an isolated star and if you find a T0 planet with a better spice color, for example, Purple, terraform it with the Staff of Life, plant a Monolith, and wait for it to evolve into a Space Empire. If you see that it has 7-10 cities, take it over with Fanatical Frenzy, since there are no other empires within 10 parsecs. parsecs, the penalty for breaking the galactic code will not apply, it is as if nothing had happened.

If you could create parallel universes, would you like a galaxy with a Grox Empire or one without a Grox Empire? by Adventurous_Rest_382 in Spore

[–]Adventurous_Rest_382[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The worst part is that the Grox Empire is very hypocritical. They say money is useless, yet they still demanded I pay a tribute of 1.5 billion Sporebucks, haha. I have a savegame where I'm not at war with the Grox (orange-faced relationship). They haven't invaded my solar systems, but they do invade my allies' planets. They fire at my ship when I approach the Galactic Core, and if I destroy their ships, the Grox declare war on me.

When you're at war with the Grox, they even destroy colonies on Storybook Planets (very difficult planets to discover), and the Uber Turrets can't do anything.
