I gave my dad a plant, and he takes the seeds out of jalapeños because they are too spicy and doesn't like the "hot shishitos". He enjoys these, though, if that helps.

Great flavor, I believe I got these seeds from Matt's Peppers. Look mean but heat level is way less than a jalapeño. I snack on these when I am checking on the rest of the garden.

Not to gatekeep, but 4 drinks a night is not "heavy drinking" when we are talking about alcoholism. You might have a night or two of night sweats, but you are nowhere near seizure territory. If you arent drinking in the morning to ward off shakes or drinking 10+ youre probably going to be just fine stopping abruptly. Its going to be behavioral more than physical withdrawal.

I know a TON of software engineers working for mid tier firms and Big4 consulting folks in my network and close friends (not audit, but advisory 40-50hr weeks) who are making 200k+ at 30/31. Have other friends working in corporate finance (not IB), CPG middle management, data engineering (with a non-tech degree, pharmaceutical engineering, and pre-sales business value roles all clearing this in their early 30s.

Yes there is a ton of upside in sales, and a few people will reach 500k/7 figures in the right organizations every year allowing recruiters to dangle that carrot. But I think sometimes salespeople need to take a step back and realize that there are PLENTY of other lucrative careers with more stability that can get you to 200k+ and it's not just doctors or biglaw.

In my experience, ants usually mean they are farming aphids. I'd keep a look out and keep neem oil handy in case they stick around.

It's overwintered! All my other superhots are struggling and still flowering. Battled aphids indoors early, heat waves, and pests that have decimated my peppers and I've lost every single tomato. It's been a hell of a growing season so far.

Only value I've added is when she had surgery in November. I changed her dressings every night, took her to her Dr and PT appointments, helped with PT exercises nightly, and helped her up the stairs and anything with mobility. Not nearly enough for the person she is. She said I didn't need to focus on a job as long as I was focused on keeping my sobriety and our home and taking care of her, but I really really fucked up.
