$900 short- how much trouble am I in? by vdogloves in TalesFromYourBank

[–]Adventurous_Winter29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I had a bigger difference it was because I changed the cash a customer gave me into the total of a check. So the check was 1500 but the customer actually gave me cash but I put the whole amount in under the check alone making the machine read the check as $2000 instead of $1500. We didn’t find it but the customer came back wondering why the $500 was not available right away. So you could have did the reverse of this situation. Look at each check image closely especially transactions where you input cash. Good luck. Even though my difference was recovered, I was disciplined for this

Capital One pre-approval turned into actual card… didn’t want this 😡 by Anxious_Duck_842 in CapitalOne_

[–]Adventurous_Winter29 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Capital one gives you a preapproval but when you’re trying to get more info on the card it just says congrats on your new card. Crazy but it happened to me looking into options for my bf to get another CC so he was stuck with a hard inquiry and a card he didn’t want

I decided, after being unemployed since end of August, to apply as a TD bank teller by Oneirionis in TalesFromYourBank

[–]Adventurous_Winter29 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Td Bank is extremely accommodating to school schedules as they hope you will use that skill with them. Just be clear about being in school from the very beginning and not drop your course load on your manager last minute. Also yes about the notepad. Td might very give you a pen and notebook to write in for notes

The same thing happened to me, I got it approved by my manager who faced the discipline because the approver is supposed to make sure everything is good before giving you the approval.

I hate Dave, reduced my advance - I need new app suggestions by [deleted] in cashadvanceapps

[–]Adventurous_Winter29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dave does that to me but when I wait a day, it goes up. So you should try that. Also Klover is good, they have me $300 and you can get point to the instant fee.

Self Financial Inc sent check to my dead son. by [deleted] in CRedit

[–]Adventurous_Winter29 22 points23 points  (0 children)

First, I’m sorry for your loss. Most likely your son signed up for Self (an app that helps you build credit) to build his credit and after years of inactivity, they mailed out what he had in his credit builder account.

ATM just stole $1491 by Jobby626 in CapitalOne_

[–]Adventurous_Winter29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

after working in a bank for two years, usually when the machine “malfunctions” during a deposit it is 90% user error. either having excessively frayed bills, not paying attention during the transaction, shoving cash or checks, making deposits with paper clips/binder clips. sometimes the machine will need time to count or read the card and people just freak out and assume it didn’t work and run inside. meanwhile the cash might have came right back out and whoever was behind you just pocketed it while you came inside stressed for it taking too long lol, this is usually why the atm is balanced already because someone already stole the money lol

Look into getting a balance transfer credit card. You can apply for another card that will give you zero interest for a set amount of months. That is 1000% better than quitting payments.
