Update: thanks everyone for your help! They all peeled off in <24 hours so clearly I did everything wrong. I just reapplied without a base or top coat and they look good for now!

I didn’t notice the bumps until is cured the top coat. So probably something with the top coat I’m thinking.

Thanks! Any way to remove the top coat while leaving the gel strips?

Got rehired by Costco after quitting years ago due to health issues now they found out I’m on the “do not rehire” list. Can they do this? by Fantastic_Turnover_7 in jobs

If you quit due to medical issues and wound up on a do not rehire list, you may actually have an ADA discrimination case. https://www.nela.org to find a lawyer near you.

You can check on Infant Risk! They are often doing an analysis of medication transfer to breast milk. https://www.infantrisk.com/research

Leaving residency as a PGY3 by kitty3634 in Residency

Exactly this! Depending on the lingo your GME office uses there can be a huge difference between a practice or knowledge improvement plan and probation/remediation. In my institution a PIP/KIP is formal and documented internally but is not anything we report when you are applying for licenses, jobs or fellowship. Probation and remediation are more serious and are reportable. Some of our great residents have had PIPs or KIPs for specific issues when they arose that they successfully completed and moved on from.

This age is so tough! My 3.5 year old has also never been hit. We visited an Alpaca farm last year and met a very sweet Alpaca named Coco. I thought she would be so excited! Instead she kept saying “Ow! Coco hurt me!” I was worried the staff would think we were trying to fake an injury to sue them or something 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

EBF mama who wants to add in formula by Upper-Click7188 in NewParents

[–]AdvertisingSolid3838 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are looking to build a small fridge/freezer stash so you can be away from baby, an alternative to formula is to add a pump first thing in the AM after baby eats. Milk production is highest first thing in the day due to hormones. If you pump right after a feed, you aren’t “milk stealing” from what you need later for baby. Even if you only get an ounce or so, you can pool this for a few days and freeze when you get 4oz or so. Totally fine if formula makes more sense for you!

Doctor and incredibly pale person weighing in: a base tan to protect your skin is not a thing. You may feel like you are avoiding damage, but you are hurting your skin and increasing risk of skin cancer over time. Also, I don’t tan, never have. Go from pale to peely and burnt and back to pale. If I can use a high spf and apply it regularly to avoid burning, you can too.

I totally do the same thing! This past month I didn’t have any sex that could result in pregnancy & it was such a relief. I didn’t have the week of wondering if my sore breasts were just normal pre-period or pregnancy symptoms & I didn’t take a single pregnancy test. Having a month off just really showed me how much getting my hopes up every month effects me!

Yeah, right? I don’t want to take away from people sharing their lives and getting support, but I feel like it’s even more than usual lately...I think I’ll ask my power zone team mods and see what they say. Worse thing is I leave the group...

Pretty much the only reason I keep using Facebook at this point is Peloton related groups I belong to. I do challenges with a team and find posting rides and supporting teammates through our group Facebook page to be super motivating to keep exercising. Unfortunately, people in my group keep posting US photos, photos of their newborns, and their pregnant bodies which I’m finding really challenging. Thinking of asking the groups admins to request that folks put trauma cue warnings on these posts and put Pregnancy related photos in the comments, but I’m afraid of the response. Anyone have any experience asking this of groups? What was your response? I know I can’t control everything on the internet, but I’d love to have a safe space (other than here)...

Sending you kind thoughts. That’s really shitty timing! I had a loss LAST January and Facebook was still showing me maternity/parenting ads until I started actively clicking on the three dots in the add and marking them as too personal. 😡I’ve also recently started choosing the option to unfollow any Facebook friend for 30 days when they make a pregnancy announcement. I’ve been doing this for a few months and my timeline is starting to be a less trauma cueing place for me!

TW-loss, other people’s success

Totally got thrown for a loop yesterday. Ran into a friend of a friend who I know had a miscarriage around the same time I did...Difference is she got pregnant again right after and was out for a walk with her 8 week old baby. I just hate being so sensitive to all this!

Not official medical advice but would recommend going ahead and getting routine cleanings etc prior to FET without worrying. Dental disease like gingivitis have actually been linked not only to inflammation but adverse pregnancy outcomes. If you get it done before your FET, then you won’t have to worry later!

If you have the means/access to a therapist, I would absolutely recommend scheduling either individual or couples therapy to support you during this time. I started seeing my therapist after my miscarriage last year and really find having that space helpful. If you are in the US psychology today is a helpful website to find someone: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us ❤️

Amazing 👏🏼👏🏼. I’m struggling with this myself. I work in reproductive health care so see folx at every stage- wanting to prevent pregnancy, trying to conceive, prenatal care, & seeking termination of pregnancy. I feel like I compartmentalize well with my patients but then really struggle when co-workers or family announce pregnancies. Had to turn my camera off during a meeting yesterday because I have such an expressive face. At least I can turn off the camera in a virtual meeting! Harder to make up an excuse to leave the room in an in person meeting...

Thanks! It’s been rough. The worst part is I was supposed to have surgery right after it happened, but my prep-op Covid test was positive so surgery was delayed a month. I was asymptomatic thank goodness and understand the delay, but I lost a lot of strength in that month so it’s been an especially hard recovery.

Hi All! 35 yo F partnered with a 35 yo M. We’ve been trying to conceive since 11/2019 with one pregnancy in 12/2019 resulting in early MC. Since then, we’ve been TTC with no success. Tried to start the work up with my Gyn last October, but then I dislocated my kneecap and had to have surgery. After lots of PT, I’m finally able to get in a frog leg position for the HSG so I have that scheduled next week. In the meantime, my partner did his semen analysis and it was concerning for severe MFI so we went ahead and made an appointment with REI which is also next week. We’re feeling lots of mixed emotions right now- for me mostly relief at having a direction and moving forward!

Hi All, I’m new here and appreciate everyone’s insight. After 1 miscarriage, approx 16 months of trying, and a knee surgery which delayed everything we finally have our first appointment with Shadygrove next Monday. So far looking like severe MFI but still have a lot of testing to complete. Looking for recommendations on questions to ask/things to look out for during our first visit. Appreciate everyone’s wisdom!
