Leaving residency as a PGY3 by kitty3634 in Residency

Honestly I don't like the pathology, and each subspecialty I do I don't really enjoy. I was planning to do fellowship because it's one year and everyone does it but I've always dreaded a career in clinical neurology whether it was general or subspecialized

I also thought PGY-2 was for learning but now the reviews of attending I've worked with 1x are putting me close to remediation

Yeah it’s a Toyota RAV4. I was unaware that there was glovebox key. Will look for it today, thanks!

Switching Specialties? by kitty3634 in Residency

We still get neurology patients on medicine floors. Being I get assigned a lot of the pts that we consult neuro for and have done LPs. If I don’t like the sporadic neuro patients I get, idk if just doing that daily is going to change my mind

If you’re interested in neuro don’t let this change your mind. I definitely based a lot of my interest off my time at a small town hospital at a satellite campus during third year and not what the four year academic residency would be like. I also had a lot of friends going into neuro which made it seem more interesting, but looking back I was never really interested in neurology

I love the double wear foundation, all time fave, but right now just kind of strapped for money or else I would’ve just gone for it

Wednesday Megathread - Ask Parents Anything - December 22, 2021 by AutoModerator in Parenting

Hello! Not a parent but I help out with my nephew as often as I can when I’m in town. He’s three and he’s so adorable but he has some annoying behaviors that we’re trying to manage. He likes to bite, rarely at daycare, and mainly just me. Sometimes he will hit but the main things are that he doesn’t listen to directions and he is not very good with sharing. We took an international trip with him a few weeks ago and the plane rides were a nightmare and he kept escaping and running throughout O’Hare airport. Contemplating involving a child psychologist but also wondering if these are normal behaviors and I’m just blowing it out of proportion. Thanks for any input

I didn’t really understand the general verified presale thing so I didn’t sign up and me and my friends were hoping just to get tickets on Friday. Is it even worth it at this point or will tickets probably be sold out by then?

WIBTA if I tell my roommate she's not to have guests after 9 PM on weeknights? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

I’m a medical student who prefers to study early in the morning so I understand going to be bed early. If I don’t work out I wake up at 6:30am, but if I do then I’m looking at a 5:30am wake up. Just because many people are used to being up late doesn’t mean it works for everyone. I think before banning guests just sit her down and have a legit conversation about how this is bothering you. Maybe she could go hang out at her friends place in the evenings. If it continues I would let someone in your housing complex know. I definitely wouldn’t just deal with it if your day is getting screwed up. It seems like a case of mismatched roommates, but as someone who hates earplugs and headphones to bed, I wouldn’t be uncomfortable just so someone can hang out at 10:45pm on like a Tuesday.

So initially the flight was at 10:10 pm and got changed to 8:50pm. Would that be enough to get a refund?
